Suzanna Linton was born in South Carolina and grew up in Orangeburg County. In 2002, she attended the summer program in fiction and poetry for the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. After graduating high school, she went on to Francis Marion University, where she majored in English. In 2013, she received Honorable Mention in the Sidney Lanier Poetry Award Competition.

When she’s not writing or working at the local library, Suzanna can be found either reading or gardening. She also loves to watch movies and television series. Right now, she’s nose deep in The Walking Dead, White Collar, and Star Trek.

Is the glass half empty or half full? Ironically, sometimes life influences our view, and alters our perception.

Life changing events, up to 1997, almost destroyed me. At my lowest point, and just in time, I met Nigel. He helped me to discover how a positive attitude can change everything. I decided not to squander anymore of my time or energy on undeserving people.

This new positive approach helps me to perceive my glass as half full, with my aim being to achieve a happy and healthy life for my family. Together, we live life to the full. In 2008 and with good times ahead of us, my glass was half full. As a family, we made the biggest and most difficult decision of our lives; part of our family would immigrate to Australia.

We lived the Australian dream; embracing the adventure until adversity came to test us. A sequence of life changing events including, a close family bereavement, PTSD ( Post Traumatic Stress Disorder,) following a road rage car accident and the shock of losing the roots to our Australian adventure as a result of the Brisbane floods tested us on many levels.

My name is Sarah Jane; I am a wife and mother, and for 27 years I was a qualified nurse. I have always loved writing and for the majority of my life it was confined to my journals. However, at a time when you have to make life-changing decisions, what really counts is what is inside you, how you feel and the love of the people around you. Sitting in a caravan in Queensland after the floods contemplating our future, my husband Nigel, said, “If you want to be a writer you need to just do it. Do something about it, learn how to write or just write.”

Taking these words to heart, I realised that, I was the only one who could make it happen. So I did. I enrolled in two Diploma courses. A Diploma in Journalism and a Diploma in Creative Writing; I started my first assignment, in our caravan whilst we were still trying to work out our future.

I currently live in Southwest France with my husband, and with his support, I now write full time. I am busy writing the sequel,’ Two suitcases, two dogs and one big idea’ which follows our French adventure. We are currently renovating a rural French cottage and life is good.

Phew..the story thankfully continues in this, the 2nd in the exciting fictional children’s adventure “Becoming Anorak Nid” Series by Alix. B Macey.

Has he become Anorak Nid, or has he began to become? Is he becoming… or just beginning?

When we left Nid things were getting very strange indeed. Where had Cricket the cricket mysteriously disappeared to? What was that ribboned scroll in his inside toffee wrapper pocket of his new anorak and just who were those mysteriously vague words intended for?

If you think this is all strange enough (or absolutely boring) you haven’t even started yet! Things are really starting to get a wee bit kooky in “Becoming Anorak Nid, in a second – and why orange marmalade really isn’t his colour!”

Yeah …and I mean really alone – alone. Well, at least until the earth stops standing still – CLICK!

That bad tempered fairy knows – she started it. Ask her.

Bluntly; because let’s be honest who’s got time? Nid has never been brave; he has never climbed down the inside of a marmalade jar and never – in the whole world of England ever, worn a magic coat. I mean, come-on, have you?

All he has ever known is how to be dismally bullied – by that web-tac-ular fiend Trevor the Webber.

However, all of this is changing since he discovered the first of the many perplexing said scrolls (rolled up bits of paper to you and me) in his new anorak. Scrolls that have wise and powerful words in bold and CAPITAL letters. Scrolls which inadvertently uncover a dainty fairy with a very bulky social disorder – who incidentally leads him to meet head first with a great destiny, A destiny that he couldn’t have known existed in his wildest dreams.

What is he to do?

Don’t listen to the snails for starters – they haven’t got a clue. – Oh yes, sorry, silly me, I mentioned them already – and they’re not even relevant.

Little does Nid know but this incredible new coat is about to take him on a magical fantasy quest of courage and confidence…to find his inner oomph…to become Anorak Nid

Zzzzzzzzzip! Un-zzzzzzzip!

If you’re a child who has big people who live with you, and, I mean the adult variety – not very tall 10 year olds, you are going to need to blackmail them into letting you buy this book, because it is seriously bad!

Despite the fact that action heroes almost always come out on top, the author manages to make readers wonder if Centaur’s going to come up empty or even wind up dead. The author skillfully presents suspects and snatches them away, leaving readers, and Centaur, constantly casting about for the next lead.

Mickey Wyte was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He now resides in New Jersey where he spends his writing day with his 10-year boxer dog, River, who rests quietly on the writing room carpet until biscuit-break time.

Mickey enjoys appearing at MOTH-type story-telling events around NYC; most notably, Stoop-to-nuts at the Cornelia Street Café in Greenwich Village, and Silver Tongue Devils, at the Identity Lounge, in the East Village.
