1. The Wanderer -

   David Anderson has enjoyed writing from an early age. One of his proudest moments in a life bereft of highlights was receiving a 99% score in his creative writing coursework at secondary school in 2000. From then on his life goal was to become an author of some sort. It has taken a mere ten years for him to write something else worthwhile. David has always had an interest in the horror genre and would like to think his writing style is somewhat similar to that of his idol, a certain Stephen King. The only way to find out if you agree would involve buying all of his work and forming your own opinion. David enjoys travelling and has visited and lived in numerous exotic locations including Japan, Hawaii, Guam and Wales. He is currently 29 years of age and lives in Sunderland. 2. About Hana by K T Bowes -

   I am an enthusiastic writer but a nervous publisher. I never believe that my work is quite 'good enough' to match up to all of the other works out there. Despite great reviews, I live in fear of the one 'bad one' that has the potential to destroy my self-confidence and force me to put my laptop away for good. I shouldn't be surprised, because it has always been that way. I was born in the Isle of Ely in England in 1969 , to an RAF Fireman father and an WRAF Administrative Officer mother. We travelled lots as children, never living anywhere for more than three years, until I was aged 10 and my parents decided that for the stability of our education, we should settle and my father must travel alone. With hindsight, it wasn't the right thing to have done. They should have sent me to boarding school, like they threatened. It might have been the making of me. Consequently, I have been much harder on my own four children, refusing to sacrifice my marriage for anyone's happiness. When we emigrated to New Zealand almost eight years ago now, we came together as a family and have stayed that way until the children drifted off into their own dreams and careers. I dusted down my English Honours Degree, from the University College of Wales in Aberystwyth and began writing in earnest about seven years ago. It helped with the loneliness of moving countries in some strange cathartic way. There is lots of me in Hana, and a lot of her in me, especially with her immigration struggles. There are currently five books available in the series of adult mysteries. The first three need to be read together, but books 4 and 5 can be read alone. This year, I have also published two teen books in the Teen Mayhem Series, which I had a lot of fun writing, relying on my remaining teenager at home, to 'teenify' it for me. I live in the Waikato, in the Central North Island of New Zealand and write about the places I go to every day. Stepping into one of my novels, is like stepping into my world.

7. Children’s book: Give it back! -

   Shimrit Nothman was always terrified of Public Speaking. Perhaps that's the reason that the first thing she did at university was to join the university's debating team. After completing her BA in Psychology and Communication at Haifa University, and concluding her role as the President of her University's Debating club, she joined the Debate Company. Shimrit lectured all around Israel, teaching children and adults from all walks of life how to overcome stage fright, and acquire effective communication tools. Shimrit Nothman had perfected the art of Conflict Resolution at a very young age. Her method was: AVOID CONFLICTS AT ALL COST! Later on in life, she decided that other methods may work better, and so she attended Tel Aviv University, where she received her Masters in Conflict Resolution. Shimrit lived in Australia for a few years before returning to her native Israel with her young family. Today she writes conflict management children's and parenting books as well as a biweekly column at the JPost about conflict-resolution in the family, named Family Matters.

    I grew up in Iowa, and earned my BA in Speech and Theater from Morningside College, and my first MA in Theater from the nearby University of South Dakota. We ended up in New Mexico where I pursued my second MA in Fine Arts (painting and drawing) from the University of New Mexico. We raised a son and also had opportunities to travel and live here and there all over the world - India, Japan, Malaysia, Cyprus - while maintaining a home base in New Mexico. It was during those years abroad that I began to write. I have been an artist all my life, as well as teaching at various universities. The Formula For Desire was born out of my deep interest in cosmology and quantum physics and The Sixth Extinction is an expression of my love for humanity and Planet Earth and all of her children.

15. Finding Mother by Anne Allen -

    I live in Devon, by my beloved sea. I have three grown-up children and my daughter and two grandchildren live nearby. I was born in Rugby, to an English mother and Welsh father. As a result I spent many summers with my Welsh grandparents in Anglesey and learnt to love the sea. My restless spirit has meant a number of moves which included Spain for a couple of years. The longest stay was in Guernsey for nearly fourteen years after falling in love with the island and the people. I contrived to leave one son behind to ensure a valid reason for frequent returns. My other son lives in London which is great for city breaks :) By profession I’m a psychotherapist but have long had creative ‘itches’, learning to mosaic, paint furniture, interior design and sculpt. At the back of my mind the itch to write was always present but seemed too time-consuming for a single mum with a need to earn a living. Now the nest is empty there’s more time to write and my first novel, Dangerous Waters, was published in 2012, winning Silver in TheWishingShelfAwards 2012. The second novel, Finding Mother, was released in October 2013.
