About The Protector by E.A.Shanniak
Whether Eavan was ready or not – her now husband Rais summoned his magic to his fingertips. The flaming swirls of magic licked at his hands as it grew, swarming and building around them – in the blink of an eye she was in a new land.
The new aromas hit her senses as she was blindfolded. Rais led her to a dragon who would test her to see if she was worthy of the honor of being his wife. A test that would determine whether she was to live or be beheaded.
Eavan stepped uncertainly onto the platform, facing a large orange dragon. She closed her eyes and swallowed.
Would she find love or death

Author Bio:
In the land of JRR Tolkien, Ericka would be a dwarf; hairy, small and lover of feasts. Barely reaching over five feet tall, the stay at home mother of two writes at her small, unimpressive desk
daily to deliver a tale delved from her past.
Her small, sausage fingers scribble unintelligible words that are thankfully fixed by her word processor. She ravenously eats meals her kids overlook. She lovingly washes the garments worn by her hard-working, supportive husband.
Ericka works diligently on her novels to give compelling pieces of literature that would have otherwise filled a hobbit’s hole instead of bookshelves at the local stores. Being only 28 years of age,
this dwarf still has a lot of adventure to fulfill before she resides with her ancestors underneath The Lonely Mountain.
Ericka hopes you enjoy her books. She hopes adventure finds you, grabs hold, and drags you out of your front yard, you little Bilbo!

Ariadne by Daniel Agnew
A young priestess flees from Crete to Egypt and finally Canaan as the Bronze Age world collapses around her.
Until the skies grew dark and red and the ground shook and cracked, Ariadne’s biggest problems were how to stay one step ahead of her parents and out-think any boys who might come her way. Now she’s part of a desperate plan to bring the world back to balance and save Crete from destruction.
Shame for the world Ariadne had other plans.
Hardened by her trials and forced to leave behind those she cares for, Ariadne struggles on to survive in new lands with new friends. But these lands are just as unforgiving as the one she left, and just as haunted by ghosts from her past…
Ariadne is a novel about a young woman’s journey to find out who she is in a chaotic world full of betrayal and heartache. It is a novel about three turbulent lands at the height of the Bronze Age and the death and suffering they endured. It is a novel inspired by history rather than myth, in a period few know what really happened. It is a novel about the past, yet a past so resonant with our present and future. It is a novel for those who love to ponder the tragic nature of war, and for those who long to see the world made right. It is a novel set to challenge historians and to entertain those who just love a good story. It is a novel about the lives of many people and yet ultimately one, Ariadne.

Somebody wants him dead, and if he doesn’t figure out who and why, his days are numbered.

Author Bio:
Kevin R. Hill has written for newspapers and magazines.
He grew up in a law-enforcement family that discussed police stories over dinner. Those stories inspire his detective fiction.
After many years abroad, the author returned home, drawn to the contrasts that are Long Beach, California. At one end of the city, women of the night prowl Pacific Coast Highway, and Mexican vendors push tamale carts. A few miles away, the rich enjoy the pristine houses of Naples island and Virginia Country Club.
In that city, his detectives work among the street people, sidewalk cafes, hustlers and cops.
Kevin also writes nonfiction, and laughs when asked about his automotive addiction. He explains it by saying that he grew up next to a family of Portuguese/Italian mechanics, and developed a love for the sound of a small block Chevy with a lopey cam. After writing all day, he says, tinkering on a classic engine is a terrific way to unwind. In the garage, far from mundane cares, the outside world does not exist.
The ocean is a great part of the So. Cal. lifestyle, and it has always spoken to Kevin. He loves to spearfish, enjoys exotic travel, micro brews, and fine tequila.

ADRIANA
In a universe underpinned by information, what happens when this ‘information layer’ starts to become conscious within the mind of a young girl?
This 85,000-word novel does not sit easily in any one genre, but if pushed I would describe it as a philosophical mystery that might well find itself on a shelf with the science fiction books.
Although my writing style is very different to hers, my book was, to a degree, inspired by the Scarlett Thomas novel ‘The End Of Mr Y’ and I would by very pleased to find my book appealing to a similar audience. Books like ‘Solaris’ by Stanislaw Lem, ‘The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’ by Douglas Adams and the paintings of Hayley Buchanan were also an influence.
The premise of this book, which is gradually revealed, is that:
The universe, at its most fundamental level, is governed by information. Consciousness is the product of the same and that when they are able to ‘lucid dream’ some people can enter a sort of collective unconscious that exists within this realm, the information layer.
Timeless, like dreams, the possibility of knowledge from the future bleeding into its past becomes possible. However, no paradox occurs when this happens because history and the very contents of our minds get rewritten to accommodate any change. When this happens a discontinuity is said to have occurred, but if a sufficiently large change takes place, then the line of least resistance is no longer ‘a discontinuity’ and then all those conceived, beyond the point of the change, run the risk of having never existed. This is what Gabriel Smith fears Adriana may bring about and, eventually, explains the nature of Adriana’s dreams.
The book begins with slightly autistic and dyslexic Adriana, aged seventeen, having just been moved to protected housing. Adriana, institutionalised after the death of her twin, is treated by her psychiatrist Raj Banerjee.
Mr Banerjee, who is fascinated by her remarkable dreams, treats her and as her condition improves she decides to walk outside, by herself, for the first time, but soon gets lost. She ends up in a park in the night and gets attacked but, to her surprise, is able to fend off her attacker.
She makes four new friends, Archie, Matt, Beá, and Sophie, who take her back to her flat and there discover old papers and books left by her late mother. She embarks on a journey with her new friends in search of notes written by her father before the Second World War. Gabriel Smith, who believes Adriana is a threat to himself and his family, pursues them
Banerjee falls ill and later dies, murdered in hospital, but before he dies he tells his friend, Dr. Frank Carver, of a strange dream he thinks he shared with Adriana. Her absence and the dream suggest to him that she may be involved, so he heads off in pursuit as well. After much to-ing and fro-ing and a number of extraordinary journeys through a black hole, the mind of a prehistoric woman and to an alien world, Adriana is killed. This leads to the break down of the laws of physics and the end of the world, but not the information layer.
A young girl stimulated by music lies in a coma in a medical facility. Was this entire story just her dream or is she God.

Author Bio:
In my life I have been a university lecturer, an inventor, a plasterer’s assistant, a recording engineer, a record producer and a song and music writer for both film and commercial release. I have also owned and run a number of recording studios (all called Mark Angelo Recording Studios ) and now I am an author. Science was always my first love. As a child, on birthdays and Christmas, it was not train sets and toy cars for me. All I wanted was books. Books about palaeontology, astronomy, biology or physics. That was until I encountered my first science fiction book. I was hooked. Isaac Asimov, Arthur Clark, Philip K Dick, Harlan Ellison and many others became, for me, new heroes to stand alongside Einstein, Newton, Heisenberg and Maxwell. You could say that these are the people that, to a large extent must bear the responsibility for creating the person that I am today.
So after many years of doing just about everything else I have, perhaps now in my second childhood, finally decided to go back to the things I always loved the most and this time emulating the greats, dare to write a book of my own.
Two Days of Christmas
Like most children his age, Asher’s favorite day of the year was Christmas. Sure he liked to get presents and eat all the fabulous food just like everyone else, but mostly he loved being with both his parents. You see Asher’s father, Alec Banks, had run off and left his mother almost three years to the date and the ten-year-old boy longed for his family to be whole again.
Asher does his best to ruin Christmas day when he finds out that his father’s twenty-five year old girlfriend will be joining them in the festivities. Unfortunately he doesn’t realize until the day is over what a mess he has caused for everyone, especially his mother, Judith. He learns the hard way that being mean & selfish towards other doesn’t equal happiness for him.
Luckily, on Christmas night Asher meats a jolly fellow named Henry, who is the Spirit of Christmas. The handsome man in a red & green plaid suit mysteriously shows up and grants Asher one wish. He tells the young boy that he will be able to relive Christmas day and fix all the things that he did wrong.
At first Asher is skeptical, but when he wakes up the next morning and it’s the 25th of December, Asher realizes what a golden opportunity he has been given. The ten-year-old boy proceeds to fix all the mistakes that he made the day before. Along the way he rediscovers his faith in Santa Claus and the Spirit of Christmas.
Join Asher as he relives Christmas day. Will he fix all the mistakes he made the first time around or will the holiday season end in disaster again? Fun read for all ages.

I am a multi-genre self-published author. I love writing stories, and have been doing so since the age of 10. I had a poem published in an anthology of young poets when I was in high school.
I am fascinated by anything paranormal and am Founder and Lead Investigator for Seeking Answers Paranormal of Tennessee. (http://seekinganswerstn.wixsite.com/saptn) My book, A Walk into the Unknown, was written while relating to some of the cases the team has worked.
I live in Tennessee in my own haunted house.
I spend most of my time writing, reading, making memories with my family, or watching TV. I am a huge Netflix junkie. My favorite shows to watch on Netflix are Supernatural, The Walking Dead, Criminal Minds, Impractical Jokers, Riverdale, NCIS, Hawaii 5-0, and The Andy Griffith Show. But, as you can see I am always adding to that list.
I love all types of music as well. I often times find myself singing along to whatever is playing at the time. (That doesn’t mean I’m good at it, but I love to sing nonetheless.)
A lifelong dream of mine is to live in a house on the beach. There is nothing quite like falling asleep and awakening to the sound of waves crashing against the beach and seagulls talking to one another.

His daughter thinks he’s rushed himself into a residential dementia centre before he becomes a burden upon her. In truth he’s more worried that if he doesn’t lock himself away then the secrets of his past will get out.
The care home could be a whole lot nicer, but it’s all he can afford and, anyway, Mitch is determined. He’s sold his house and signed his freedom away. Let them take care of him for the muddled remainder of his days.
Except that he’s not really in need of a place like this yet. And far worse – his former best friend and old band mate Ray is already here.
The last person he’d ever want to be trapped with.
Especially since the secrets are about him.
With a cast of vivid characters who will shock and delight in equal measure, Alex Henderson’s latest is a poignant and darkly hilarious tale of friendship, regret and the need to squeeze the juice out of every day we’re given.

I have grown fond of cooking since childhood and now I work in a restaurant as a cook. In each recipe, I invest a part of my soul. I can call my work a real art. Most of the invented recipes I put in different books with detailed descriptions. I represent the kitchen, the basis of which is the love of good food, to the food that gathers people close to the Sunday table, the food that makes you languish in anticipation of the pie from the oven, the food that remains in your memory for a long time.

Rhea V. May is a paradox. If someone were to ask her what are the top three principles she values in life, she would say order, serenity, and practicality. And yet, in her mind, she has always lived through countless peril-packed, danger-lurking scenarios, set in phenomenal worlds where the normal rules don’t necessarily apply.
Here, good may sometimes lose in the face of evil, but love is always present. Even if the beast keeps the girl every once in a while (and no, he doesn’t magically transform into a dashing prince).
Rhea V. May is a self-published author and she’s currently working on the second book of her Interstellar Hereafter series.

Adele Baker was born in the shadow of the Blue Ridge mountains. Her father’s job relocated the family every few years. At 13, she had experienced many cuisines, from Cajun seafood gumbo, to Swiss cheese fondue, to Mediterranean keftedes (lamb meatballs). Her family prioritized time around the dinner table, and there were usually more people at the table than the original six. She appreciated the close-knit family of her childhood, and valued meals together.
Micah and Adele met in college, married, and within two years of graduation, their family had grown. Addie Rae was born in March, and Adele experienced unbounded joy during her daughter’s first year. The family hiked the Blue Ridge mountains with Addie Rae tucked into the backpack. They sailed the lakes of northern Michigan, skied and biked the hills of Virginia and hiked the San Jacinto mountains of California.
Despite a healthy lifestyle, Adele discovered that the weight gain of pregnancy had not disappeared. She sought a workable diet, and research led her to the ketogenic diet. It fit well with her lifestyle and became a way of life. The pounds melted and Adele’s energy increased. The theme of a healthy diet so captivated her that she continued to create delicious recipes for everyday life. She hopes that you enjoy the following recipes, and wishes you success with your new way of life.

Throughout this five-year period of three major losses, the only way she survived was to focus on God and trust that He had a plan for her life. After struggling to maintain a daily consistent practice of growth and gratitude, she began a 40-day challenge to practice gratitude and personal growth. That journey taught her the need to help other people develop a daily practice of thankfulness and inspired her to share ‘The Mindset Accountability Journal’ with the world.
The Protector
Whether Eavan was ready or not – her now husband Rais summoned his magic to his fingertips. The flaming swirls of magic licked at his hands as it grew, swarming and building around them – in the blink of an eye she was in a new land.
The new aromas hit her senses as she was blindfolded. Rais led her to a dragon who would test her to see if she was worthy of the honor of being his wife. A test that would determine whether she was to live or be beheaded.
Eavan stepped uncertainly onto the platform, facing a large orange dragon. She closed her eyes and swallowed.
Would she find love or death?

over five feet tall, the stay at home mother of two writes at her small, unimpressive desk daily.
Her small, sausage fingers scribble unintelligible words that are thankfully fixed by her word
processor. She ravenously eats meals her kids overlook. She lovingly washes the garments worn by her hard-working, supportive husband.
Ericka works diligently on her novels to give compelling pieces of literature that would have
otherwise filled a hobbit’s hole instead of bookshelves at the local stores. Being only 28 years of age, this dwarf still has a lot of adventure to fulfill before she resides with her ancestors underneath The Lonely

Ericka hopes you enjoy her books. She hopes adventure finds you, grabs hold, and drags you out of your front yard, you little Bilbo!
