Bonnie Turner – one of the few remaining members of the Greatest Generation – was born in Independence, Missouri, on Halloween, at the height of the Great Depression.

Currently residing in Wisconsin, she is a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother. Her many interests include astronomy, geography, history, yoga, philosophy, psychology, metaphysics, and parapsychology. She’s a self-educated jack-of-all-trades, a Scorpio astrology sign, a Mensa *almost*, a classical-music and jazz-fusion aficionado. She has owned two wonderful Siberian huskies – Sasha and Oniktok (Tokka) – and is currently *owned* by a feisty Tortoiseshell cat named Jazzbaby.

Turner learned to read in first grade from the famed “Dick and Jane” readers. Many years later, her first novel for children (The Haunted Igloo) was published by Houghton Mifflin in 1991. After that book was released, she visited grade schools with a life-size, handmade Inuit doll, encouraging students to keep reading and writing – and offering “polar bear hugs” along with her autograph.

David Lamb is a board certified clinical neuropsychologist. His day job involves helping people to become more independent after some type of neurological injury. In addition to a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, he has a Master’s in Art Therapy. David has also worked with law enforcement officers to deal with PTSD after critical incidents. While recovering from prostate cancer surgery, his son suggested he try his hand at creative writing. Although his professional experiences certainly informed aspects of this story, he also drew upon his love of cooking and backpacking the mountain trails of Arizona (where unlike Cypress Grove, it rarely rains). My Story

Hello, I am Karen Jeffries. I know on my blog it says that my name is Sarah, well, it’s not. I am doing this blog and social media stuff all anonymously because I am a normal school teacher who would like to keep her day job and I don’t think that my school district would appreciate me openly talking about my vagina all over the internet. Fun! So my name is Sarah, Emily, Christine, Danielle, or anything you want to call me because I represent every woman who has gone through or is going through fertility treatment.

Now here is the really annoying part. I have two kids. Bitch! I have a four-year-old who was conceived through an IUI, she is two-thirds angel child and one-third demonically possessed. I also have a two-year-old who was conceived through IVF, I don’t know what her issues are yet.

At my husband’s suggestion, I wrote a book about my experiences going through fertility. It is hilarious (hence – Hilariously Infertile). It covers everything from the daily ultrasound wand up my cooter and practically falling off the gynecological table, to the progesterone suppository cream chunking out of my vag every minute of every day, to the unspoken fertility clinic rules. He thought the book would be more of a helpful guide to other women. I thought the book was the perfect place to talk openly about my vagina and my amazing accomplishment of not killing anyone while jacked up on hormones for months at a time. We agree to disagree.

Apparently, because I am not a celebrity I cannot get a book deal right away. Bullshit right? So I have created this website and a social media presence to help get my incredibly inappropriate message out there and maybe get my book deal before I go back to work in September and this whole pipe dream of mine goes up in smoke.

My end goal is to help other women laugh their way through their treatment, while their feet are in the stirrups and their vaginas are enjoying the fresh fertility clinic air.

I’m Dan Eitreim and I worked as a professional photographer running my own photo studio for over 20 years. I’ve never apprenticed or worked for any other photographers. Because of this, I’ve had to learn and develop my photography skills on my own.
