Eleven Lifetimes an Astrologer: Secret Lessons You Will Never Learn from Astrology Books by Sonrisa East

About Eleven Lifetimes an Astrologer: Secret Lessons You Will Never Learn from Astrology Books by Sonrisa East

Not a cookbook. Not like any astrology book you have ever read.

Sonrisa East takes us through our deep history, past our galaxy, and into the future of human birth on other planets.

Eleven Lifetimes an Astrologer will make you think about astrology in ways you have never considered. It will test the boundaries of your knowledge—and belief—in an attempt to “stretch your eyes enough for them to grow.”

The book is designed as a practicum for a fledging seer. Filled with concrete exercises of “Backwards Gazing” to lay the groundwork for “Forwards Seeing,” it may well become the definitive guide to the Art and Duty of a Visionary.

If you take nothing away from reading it but the Seer’s Creed, it is well worth the read.

I predict Eleven Lifetimes an Astrologer will change your practice of astrology forever.

Author Bio:
Sonrisa East began the study of astrology at the age of 11 under the tutelage of her maternal grandmother. Her first book on astrology, Eleven Lifetimes an Astrologer: Secret Lessons You Will Never Learn in Astrology Books, was released on her 67th birthday as a birthday present to the future.

When Sonrisa East graduated from college in 1974, she moved to New York City to go to graduate school at Columbia University. But the first thing she did was set up a series of private astrology lessons with Greenwich Village astrologer Lenore Canter, who in addition to her astrology practice held a master’s degree in developmental psychology. Lenore Canter served as president of the New York chapter of the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR) for seven years and was director of its Education Program for many years afterwards. Lenore Canter is the author of Psyche and Eros, the relationship analysis module for Kepler and Sirius astrology software and of Matrix’s Relating Potential report. She was a pioneer in the marriage of modern psychology and ancient astrology.

The two remained lifelong friends.

At the introduction of Lenore Canter, Sonrisa East also studied during those years with New York City astrologer Eleanor Bach, an early proponent of asteroid inclusion in astrology as the true ruler of Virgo. Eleanor Bach was the publisher-editor of “Planet Watch” and author of the “Asteroid Ephemeris,” published in 1973, which set the stage for extensive world-wide study of Ceres, Vesta, Juno, and Pallas. Eleanor Bach was considered the “mother of the asteroids” and received the 2nd Marc Edmund Jones Award for her pioneering astrological research on them.

After quietly practicing astrology for nearly 56 years, Sonrisa East lives a peaceful life near the sea—at least on the days she is not surrounded by her Gemini twin grandchildren and their menagerie.

He suspects the assassinations are related and calls an old friend with the FBI. When FBI profiler Special Agent Sean Kruger arrives at the scene of the second murder, he agrees with Clark but is hesitant to get involved. After twenty-five years with the FBI, he is tired of the bureaucracy and politics of the job. His constant traveling has kept him away from the woman he loves and he is contemplating retiring to start a new life with her.

A week later, while home in Kansas City, the assassin strikes again, this time close to where he lives, making things personal. With the help of JR Diminski, the computer genius from The Fugitive’s Trail, Kruger identifies a suspect and travels to Alabama for the arrest.

Politics and micromanaging complicate the situation. Kruger is ordered to wait but disobeys and proceeds with the arrest. When everything goes horribly wrong, he is suspended by the Director of the FBI. Now outside the protection of the agency, he must decide whether to walk away from his career or put his new marriage and life in danger by pursuing the assassin. An assassin whose ultimate goal is an attack in the center of the United States, an attack that will result in more innocent casualties than 9/11.

The first romance novel I ever read was Cinderella! I devoured Disney’s version of romance until I was eleven, and then I discovered Mills & Boons. In those days kissing was the most explicit intimacy disclosed: the hero and heroine went to bed and came out the next day with smiles! I had no idea what happened, but I was intrigued. My mom had shelves and shelves of them. Over the long summer breaks, I barely left my bedroom! My busy parent had no idea what I was up to. I’ve always been fascinated with love stories. I started writing in college, but I never expected anyone would ever read my whimsical musings. LOL! Now years later, after husband and kids, and a solid career in finance I’ve started publishing those early ideas.

The Rejected Writers’ Book Club

About The Rejected Writers’ Book Club

Librarian Janet Johnson is puzzled when she is invited—and practically dragged—to her first meeting of the Rejected Writers’ Book Club. This quirky group of women would much rather celebrate one another’s rejected manuscripts over cups of tea and slices of lemon cake than actually publish a book. But good friends are exactly what Janet needs after moving to the small town of Southlea Bay, Washington. Just as the ladies are about to raise a teacup to their five hundredth rejection letter, they receive bad news that could destroy one member’s reputation—and disband the group forever. To save the club, Janet joins her fellow writers on a wild road trip to San Francisco in search of the local publisher who holds the key to a long-buried secret. As they race to the finish line, they’ll face their fears—landslides, haunted houses, handsome strangers, ungrateful children—and have the time of their lives.

Black Damage: Why Africa and its diasporas are plagued with poverty, conflicts and crime, and the ways forward

About Black Damage: Why Africa and its diasporas are plagued with poverty, conflicts and crime, and the ways forward

FREE eBook From October 24 – 28, 2018

Arguably all black communities are dysfunctional and African diaspora communities in prosperous western nations are not exempt. Some scholars have attributed Africans and its diasporas’ woes to genetic inferiority. Many argue that Africans’ problems are caused by their failure to adopt western democracy and to build strong institutions.

This book demonstrates that issues such as the absence of strong institutions and bad leadership are not the root causes of Africa’s miseries but are symptoms of more fundamental problems. Using empirical and qualitative studies, this book highlights the six root causes of the unending plight of Africa and its diasporas. It shows that the plight of Africans and African diasporas are interwoven, hence it addresses them concurrently.

Femi Akomolafe brings to the fore his invaluable insights as an African who has lived in the UK diaspora for more than a decade in this book. Black Damage rests on the premise that the black race is damaged.

But the secrets run deep, and as Jahrra fights to earn her place in this extraordinary world, she will begin to unravel the truth of it all: that she isn’t as safe as she thought she was, that danger lurks around every corner, and that her role in this unfurling tale is far more significant than she could possibly imagine.

Now Liz travels between the nineteenth and twenty-first centuries, murdering people. To be fair, she does usually clean up after herself.

Liz lives in Cheshire with her husband and two sons, and when she’s not writing or child-wrangling you can usually find her reading, messing about on Twitter, or cooing over stuff in museums and art galleries. That’s her story, anyway, and she’s sticking to it.

Live by Design, Not by Default

About Live by Design, Not by Default

While it is often said that a person with a negative attitude cannot be helped, it is also true that a person with a positive attitude cannot be stopped. Life is an obstacle course in which we can often become our own biggest obstacle, but a positive attitude can be transformational.

In one sense, this book is a road map for a life journey in achieving more. It offers direction and can help you make positive decisions in a noisy and cluttered environment. Success is neither a miracle nor a mystery. It is the natural outcome of consistently applying certain principles on an ongoing basis. Success does not depend upon special skills, formal education or superior intelligence. Success is a matter of understanding and acting upon principles that have been in existence for centuries. These principles may be simple in themselves but none of them will work unless they are put into firm and decisive action.

This book effectively teaches not only the principles of success but also how to avoid expensive and demoralising mistakes. The principles themselves are universal, cutting across country, culture and religion. Diligently practising them will help you develop confidence and allow your life to become more meaningful and rewarding. Applying these principles may require a lot of self-discipline and commitment but, once learned and applied, the results can be rewarding and gratifying.

If you want to be successful and happy, then become a student and study the life of successful people in depth; if you want to become wealthy, then study the principles of acquiring wealth. Learning to make a living and learning to live are two different things. This book helps you design a more meaningful life, by making positive choices and avoiding the most common pitfalls.

Mindful & Intuitive Eating

About Mindful & Intuitive Eating

Mindful and intuitive eating is the best method to help you in building a loving and nurturing relationship with food. It is a weight loss plan for life.

In a busy world we live in today, in timеѕ of lарtорѕ, tablets аnd ѕmаrtрhоnеѕ it iѕ vеrу tеmрting tо wоrk or ѕurf thе intеrnеt whilе eating. Sitting аt a dinner tаblе with nоthing but оur food iѕ gеtting lеѕѕ and less common, it is getting awkward. Which makes me wonder have we forgotten the basics of eating?

What is Mindful and Intuitive Eating?

To be mindful means to be present in the moment and to be aware of it. In a broader sense, a conscious/mindful person is someone who lives in the present moment and feels with all the senses.

Mindful eating is all about doing one thing at a time. It requires you to pay complete attention to the eating practice. You need to cut down the distractions, multitasking activities, boredom, and involve yourself entirely in the eating process.
Intuitive eating, however, is a part of mindful eating and it means to eat when you are hungry when feeling the need to eat. Intuitive eating doesn’t limit you to dieting, eating based on the calories, or according to your weight. It merely means that you eat when you feel like eating.
However, without a mindful mindset, intuitive eating can lead to a lot of trouble. Because this sole belief of “eating when you feel like eating” is what drives us to eat emotionally, mindlessly and gain weight.

Intuitive eating should primarily be based on the hunger cues of the body. Whereas, without mindfulness, we can misunderstand other signals of the body such as stress, anxiety, sadness, attention deficiency as the signal to eat food.

Often food provides us the comfort and that comfort can lead to over-eating, weight gain, and eating disorders. Thus, it is crucial to adopt mindful eating to master the art of eating well and thriving throughout life. Food is a medicine, and it is not meant to make you ill or live in a diminished capacity.

Mindful eating gives you excellent results mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Although mindful eating is a straightforward and doable method, it shouldn’t be confused as a cake walk. Developing a mindful eating pattern takes a time, effort, and practice. You can’t gain the skill in a few hours.

Throughout the book, you will read about how to slowly make mindful eating an everyday practice. You will also be given practical and easy tips that will help you through the process of adopting a mindful eating as your eating habit.

The Slow Death of American Democracy

About The Slow Death of American Democracy

FREE eBook From October 24 – 25, 2018

Voter suppression, legalized bribery, the destruction of unions, poverty, racism, a partisan Supreme Court and much, much more – we are witnessing the deterioration of American democracy right before our eyes. It’s time to fight back.

In this book you’ll find fifty problems with American democracy laid bare, encompassing everything from the Electoral College to the disproportionate make up of the Senate to our extremely skewed tax code to shadow organizations with enormous influence over our government.

If you’re a liberal, if you’re a progressive, if you’re part of the Resistance, this book will give you the intellectual ammunition you need to combat the extremist Republican Party and the injustices we’re seeing all around us. We can no longer sit back while conservatives take names off of voting lists and add names to prison rosters.

Bernie Sanders once said that we have to decide whether we want to be a democracy or an oligarchy. Right now we have an oligarch president in Donald Trump, the poster-child for greed and privilege. We have corporations not only influencing our politicians, but often writing the laws themselves. And we have a growing wealth gap between the richest 1% and the rest of us.

Some of the information you’ll find this book will truly shock you. But we can change things. It begins by defeating the lies from the other side. Let’s get started.

A Time to Grow Up A Daughter’s Grief Memoir By Larada Horner-Miller

About A Time to Grow Up A Daughter’s Grief Memoir By Larada Horner-Miller

When Larada Horner-Miller’s father died in 1996, her mother told her, “Everyone grieves in their own way.”

Horner-Miller took these words to heart when her mother passed away in 2013. She discovered that writing poetry was the best way of working through her fresh grief. Eventually she penned dozens of intimate, heartfelt poems about her parents’ lives and legacies and her deep sorrow and gradual recovery. Now she has gathered those verses into her first collection, A Time to Grow Up.

Horner-Miller discusses the emotional challenges of caring for her parents at the end of their lives. Her words will strike a chord with any worried caretaker or child watching over ailing but fiercely independent loved ones.

As Horner-Miller explores the nuances of bereavement through her poetry, she provides inspiration and comfort for readers coping with the same burdens. While many of her poems explore the depths of her anguish, others exude humor and warmth—a reminder that there is still always light in the world.

In addition to her poems, Horner-Miller includes biographical sketches about her mother and her father, as well as appendices that provide coping tips, suggested activities, and resources for others dealing with intense bereavement.

Author Bio:
Mary Billiter is the award-winning author of the highly acclaimed resort romance series, which she wrote on her cell phone while she was undergoing breast cancer treatment.

Her resort romance series are romantic comedies because they are not only based on her life in the hospitality industry, but also many of the romantic misfires in her life, which could either be viewed as a comedy or a tragedy. But she’d rather look back and laugh instead of cry about the past.

She also has novels published under the pen name, “Pumpkin Spice.”

In July 2018, Mary was awarded “Top Female Author 2018” by The Authors Show for “Spirited Away.”

Mary resides in the Cowboy State with her unabashedly bald husband, her four amazing children, two fantastic step-kids, and their runaway dog. She does her best writing (in her head) on her daily runs in wild, romantic, beautiful Wyoming.
