Dylan Tauber is an award winning electronic musician, digital artist, and author, who has been based in NYC, Jerusalem, Miami, a remote island in the south western Pacific, and now in northern Israel.

Dylan Tauber has been producing music, artwork, and writing since he began his prolific 21 year career in 1996 with the ambitious Double Mirrors anthology, which includes a book, video slide shows, soundtrack, and companion website at www.DoubleMirrors.com. The Double Mirrors project evolves years later, as Tauber continues to explore the cyber-spiritual revolution.

In addition to releasing twelve ambient / electronica / trance music albums (all 12 for free download) through his Son of Waves Studios music label, Dylan runs a network of nineteen websites which include an online imaging / photo gallery, and a video archive. The 3rd Anchor is The church (fellowship), do you know that researchers have found that the no 1 thing you can do to live healthier and longer is to spend time with people you love. What about being in fellowship and part of family of believers.

The 4th Anchor is The family, I don’t have to explain this much because as a nation you’ll agree with me that the family is under attack, kids are been raised in single family homes. Our traditional understanding of family is being redefined everyday etc.

Those are the big mistakes to avoid, my book provides solutions to all these and leads to personal transformation.

Today a year has passed since I last saw Tapasya. I can still remember the night she left me and this house. She had found lipstick stains on my shirt. She was livid and wanted an explanation. Even I had not noticed the stains-they were not even real lip marks; just lipstick stains! I had no idea where the stains came from. My explanation apparently did not work.’
It was just a lipstick stain, not even lip marks, and I did not know where it came from.
“I don’t know where the stain came from.” I replied honestly.

Before I could stop her, she left the home. I tried to call her but could not reach her. The next evening, a local police inspector called me to identify a dead body they had found floating on the river front.
The body was decomposed but it was unmistakably her–the tight ponytail and large eyes. The face was swollen and blue as if she was still angry with me. Her eyes still seemed to be crying. It seemed she had drunk lots of water to cool her anger down.

The book also uses memoirs, interviews, and oral histories of former South Vietnamese leaders and combatants to discover their views on their struggle to form a new nation free from communist aggression.
Warriors and Fools is both broad and deep in scope in its narration of the Vietnam War story. It takes the reader from the White House’s oval office and Hanoi’s Politburo room, to the Pentagon’s and North Vietnam Army’s command centers, to Vietnam’s mountain and rice patty battlefields to show the determination, deceit, foolhardiness, mistakes, courage, and horrors of war from the views of both sides.
While it examines multiple participant views, overall the book seeks to answer one specific question – why did the US fail to achieve its principal objective to defend South Vietnam from communist aggression? The story’s findings and conclusions are neither orthodox nor revisionist. Those trying to gain insights on how American civilian leaders lost the war that its military could have won; or how the US Congress, Press, or Antiwar activists convinced the Public to stop its support will be disappointed. None of these traditional ‘answers’ on why the US lost are really valid.
Rather, as this story explains the answer is much more linked to human factors, interactions, and relationships. In this case, the interrelationship between American civilian and military leaders and advisors was extraordinarily divisive and dysfunctional. So much so that it resulted in flawed, timid policies and foolish strategies that led to defeat. Moreover, that troublesome interrelationship was primarily a result of mistrusts, misunderstandings, and misperceptions on their roles, responsibilities, and what they thought would lead to a positive end to the war. In addition, primarily because they were either ignorant of the nature of war or overconfident from their past experiences, civilian and military policymakers ignored or misunderstood their enemy.
Warriors and Fools should be of interest to those who served in the war, and serious students and teachers of this event and period. It is not intended as light reading, or for someone trying to get just a brief understanding of what happened there and in America at the time.

Colonel (Ret) Rothmann served as an active duty Army officer for over twenty-nine years. He is a 1967 graduate of the United States Military Academy. Upon being commissioned in the Infantry, he served in numerous troop duty assignments in airborne, infantry and ranger organizations, both as a commander and staff officer. These included platoon and company command in combat, and company command and battalion/ brigade operations and training staff officer positions in Vietnam, Germany, and the United States from 1968 to 1980. In 1985 he assumed command and supervised the reconstitution of the 3rd Battalion, 502d Infantry (Air Assault), which had been decimated in the Gander, Newfoundland air disaster.

Colonel (Ret) Rothmann also served on the Army and Joint Staff. From 1982-1985 he was a principal staff officer for NATO and European war planning on the Army Staff. In that position he made recommendations to the Chief of Staff on war plan development and NATO defense issues. From 1990 to 1993, he served as a Strategic Planner for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS). In that capacity he participated in or led efforts on the development of the National Military Strategy, the Joint Strategic Capabilities Plan, and the Roles and Missions Report. During this time he advised the CJCS on the military strategy for Desert Shield/Desert Storm and other defense issues. As a representative for the CJCS, he traveled extensively to the US Combatant Commands to discuss military strategy and defense policy issues.

Colonel (Ret) Rothmann also taught Military History at West Point from 1976-1979, was the Army Chief of Staff personal representative at the National War College from 1993 to 1994, and lectured and taught strategy and operations there. Upon his retirement in 1996 he held the position of Chairman of the Department of Military Strategy and Operations at the National War College.

Colonel Rothmann currently resides in New York with his wife Susan Flaherty Rothmann, and has three sons and daughters-in-law, and ten grandchildren.

The story so far:

We all have to begin our journey somewhere in life. For me, it was at primary school when my teacher, Mrs Harvey introduced me Creative Writing and I never looked back. Mrs Harvery was a great inspiration to me, and it soon became my favourite lesson.

The years passed by and I found myself at High School where embraced my writing with the thanks to various teachers no one more so than my English and form teacher, Tony Porter.

I’d write two pages, take it back to him, and he’d say “Right, go and write me some more.” That’s just what I did. At Culcheth High School there was a building known as ‘B-block’ it was a three-storey concrete block, and he’d allow us to have free roam of the top floor. I’d go and sit in B-32 which was Miss Harper’s R.E room and there I’d write, my first piece, called ‘Grey Hall.’ And at lunchtimes, Malcolm Smith (RIP) would give up his lunch hour and open up A-17 in A-block which was the I.T room. There I’d sit on one of the many BBC-B computers and writer using ‘Interword’ an old, but outstanding word processor. At the time there American TV series ‘Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea’ was being aired in the UK, and I’d sit in A-17 and write a story about Admiral Nelson and Captain Lee Crane.

After Culcheth, the writing was fell flat. In 2005 I moved to the West Sussex town of Worthing, and two years later I enrolled in a Creative Writing course on Monday evening at ‘Durrington High School.’ Here I met my friend, Rosanna Ley and the writing took on a whole new lease of life. It was during this period that I took up the interest of scriptwriting. In 2011 I moved back to my roots of Manchester but continued to write. In 2011 I met my friend, Yvonne Grace, and I worked on some projects with Yvonne where she taught me the basics of scriptwriting. In 2017, I decided to try my hand at poetry, and during a writing holiday in 2017 I did just that.

Growing up, I struggled a lot. I have been through circumstances that I would never
wish anyone to go through. I became very sick at the age of 13 and growing from a poor
family, it was always hard to get proper treatment. I suffered for many years. For the
most part of my young life, I was living on $5 or less per day.
Additionally, I was extremely shy, mentally and physically weak. I didn’t really enjoy
my young life that much because it was always filled with pain.
I did all kinds of businesses before even reaching my teenage years just to assist my mother who was sacrificing a lot to raise a large family.
There is more to my story but I would keep it short here. So in the midst of all these
hardships and painful experiences, I always felt I could become more. I always felt deep
down that things could change for me. So I didn’t give up but rather fought hard.
Because of the financial, health and other difficulties I faced, and my desire to turn
things around in my life, I invested a huge amount of time into personal development. I
have read so many books over the years and have looked up to people like Tony
Robbins, Les Brown, Eric Thomas, Stefan James, Gary etc. I did not want to be a loser
and live a life of regret.
Through these investments, I was able to complete college even with serious health
challenges.
After college, I worked for people, created businesses that provided me with extra
income, did multiple jobs etc. I have failed many times and succeeded too.
Being through many hardships and turning things around. I am now writing books as a
way to help others in their life. My book is a way to pay it forward. It is my desire that
any person who reads my book, experience a positive change in his/her life and achieve his/her heart desire. Even if it is just one person that improve his life from reading my
book, I will be more than happy.
