Okay, so I’m an author from Plymouth, who studied Creative Writing and Drama back in her university days, graduating with a 2:1 in 2008, seems like a lifetime ago now.

Since then my life hasn’t been as straightforward as I would have liked. Some of the events that have shaped the last few years of my life involved health issues. I have Hypermobility Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Killer combination I know. I’ve lived with pain for a long time, so by the time I was finally diagnosed with anything, learning to ‘live with pain’ wasn’t the issue. Learning to acknowledge the pain I was living with and give it the correct amount of importance, on the other hand, is still something I’m struggling with. When you’re the type of person constantly driven to move forward and put the needs of those around you ahead of your own, you can end up causing yourself more problems than you realise. Haha, I’m literally my own worst enemy. Still, I try not to allow it to get me down.

When I’m not writing or working the day job, I keep myself occupied running my own YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/IlaGolden , I currently have two active series, Ila Reads, which releases every Monday, and my weekly Vlog which comes out on Fridays. I also have two adorable furbabies, a pair of gerbil sisters names Mew and Celibi. So, yes, for those of you out there who know your Pokemon, I’m a huge fan. In fact, I’m a little bit of a gamer. Maybe more than a little bit, but I guess that would depend on your POV.

So, I’m older than the person I was when I left university, maybe a little wiser, but definitely still young at heart. Maybe that’s why I’m finally getting out those jumper cables and trying to bring my writing career back from the dead. Life gets in the way sometimes, and that means our dreams have to go on hold for a while. But on hold for a while doesn’t mean on hold forever. What’s the point of writing every day if I’m the only one who gets to enjoy it?

Life is a series of challenges and I’m ready to tackle them all. Right now I’m excited to see what kind of path I will forge from here. The future is this big, wide, open expanse of possibilities and the only one standing in my way is me.

In May 2015, “Stachtompouta and Spirtoulis, Love just like old times” his first book of children’s and adolescent literature was published. This is a story that mentions real events. Events that, with the help of our four-legged friends, with the so much unconditional love they offer, unraveled this beautiful story. This book talks about love and more specifically about the love that develops between humans and animals.

In less than a year, in December 2016, “”Eros, the son of the storm,”” his second book of modern fantasy literature was published. This is a fantasy book and takes us on a trip to the world of emotions and shares with us, family and non-family moments. Feelings, moments and desires of people have a dominant role in this book.

The main character of the book is Eros, who spends time with his little son, Leon, reading a fairy tale. But it is not only these heroes who are involved in the story of this book. There is also a young couple who wants to have a child, but for some mysterious reasons, they cannot. By reading the book, “”Eros”” one will notice that time is alternating and that the past along act with the present in parallel.

The characters of the book evolve by expressing their desires and by bringing out their feelings. In the plot of the book, the reader will notice that heroes’ wishes are difficult to be accomplished, but at the end, they find a way to fulfill them. The book is evolving into a fictitious story about how the planets were created to raise readers’ awareness of global warming. At this point, you will discover other things about the heroes, but also things that the heroes themselves could not perceive.

His third book of children’s and adolescent literature “Stachtompouta and Spirtoulis, Like good old times…” was published in December 2017. The story continues in this book and new characters make their appearance. This book unravels the deep connection between a dog and his owner.

Bebis for Mr. Charalampos was not an ordinary dog; he was his child, his best friend and companion to his old age, and all thanks to his wife he had found comfort and he felt alive again. He did not feel alone; he had company. Mr. Charalampos had begun to believe again.

The family had adopted a different lifestyle since they had all moved to the small but so special village. Alkis spoke to his kittens as if talking to people, and they understood him.
