All the animals of the forest have a wonderful time at the Ball, and the Bird learns the valuable lesson of following your dreams and not caring what others think because, in the end, right people will value his determination, effort, and talent. He didn’t need the approval of the mean flock of birds, he just needed to follow his dreams, and better friends and opportunities will come his way because of it

About Addiction and Love by Jered Liechty

The story begins with an overview of where, when, and how the main characters life began to be something less than what it should have been. His interactions with prostitutes, the beginnings of a drug addiction that grew, as well as his inner thoughts and feelings about the whole situation carry the reader into the main part of the story.
Beginning a few days before Christmas, in an unnamed town in the Midwest, the main character in a full blown Meth addict, and in addition to doing addict things (getting high), he falls in love. The circumstances are sketchy at best, and the focus of his love interest probably not a fitting recipient of his affections. None of these deter him in the least, and in fact, the feeling appears to be mutual. The instant bond of love develops fast, almost too fast to be believable.
The thread running through all this talk of love at first sight is Meth. More than just the getting, using, manufacturing, and the selling, but the literal chemical interaction in the brain becomes a problem. Our ‘hero’ cannot decide whether he is really in love, or if he is just high. Stuck in an impossible conundrum, he does the only thing he sees as a possibility, and that is to follow his heart (and body parts).
