Goran Zivanovic arrived on the Gold Coast at age 11 and still resides there today with his wife, Clare. His earlier childhood in Sydney’s western suburbs was somewhat traumatic. This is when Goran first stared to experience the heaviness of being a human, and the want to be something less primitive. Strange encounters and deeply challenging situations gave him a sense of awareness that nobody could relate to in his immediate circle of friends and family. He learned quickly that adults did not know everything. His anxiety was not caused by “growing pains”, as the “best doctors” informed his parents, they were a result of a closed-minded society.

Goran’s parents were not religious, but they took him and his brother to a Christian church at least twice a year to appease other family members. Even from this young age, Goran could see and feel the hypocrisy of all religions and he would react accordingly. There was a deep anti connection, as if he’d been primed by a covert force to only observe and not get infected by the limitations of non secular beliefs.

Later, he would involuntarily get caught up in the sticky web of faith and it became the ultimate survival challenge. An opportunity of death came during his most mind-fucked state when he was struck by lightning at age 33. During the near death experience (NDE) he was free again to clear his mind, his life and all the garbage people believe in, but Goran couldn’t let go entirely. He was spoken to by someone or something unseen, but ever present. This entity seemed to give Goran a higher understanding of the often misused term, “free will”. The mental, spiritual, personal and physical challenges continued without immediate relief. Even after publishing his first book under a pseudonym, Goran felt he was nowhere near satisfied when it hit the shelves. It too became something created from insecurities and ego. However, something changed. It was after the lightning strike that sleep paralysis took hold and his childhood shadow people came out of the shadows.

Eventually, these “growing pains” stopped hurting. Intelligent bilateral communication became portals where information moves beyond words and into the experiences of Goran’s alter ego, Julian Aquinas Marcus.

Psychological realism is Goran’s native writing style, because it’s less emotionally shielded than other genres. Inspiration always begins with limitations and it’s this perspective that forms the blueprint for all of Goran’s literary and visual arts pieces.

Jason read about religions including Islam, Hinduism, and Christianity. He also read about atheists and the arguments that they have against the existence of God. He then became very interested in philosophy after being exposed to the works of Dr. William Lane Craig. This studying caused Jason to reaffirm his Christian faith, and he started debating and witnessing to atheists on social media and other websites on the internet.

One day, when Jason was in the waiting room for his first appointment at the Callahan Eye Foundation in Birmingham, AL, he was reading a book called “Creation Astronomy” by Dr Donald DeYoung. It then dawned on him, “I’m 24 years old and I’m already facing my mortality, but what about those who have not come to recognize the truth of Christianity?” The question that he asked himself at Dr. Callahan’s office plagued him throughout 2012.

In December of 2012, Jason finally did what he was feeling lead to do. He also studied Information Technology at George Stone Technical Center in Pensacola, FL. He studied at Biola University which is located in La Mirada, CA. He has also studied at Columbia Evangelical Seminary for a short period of time under Dr. Rick Walston and Dr. Phil Fernandes. Jason Petersen is currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy at Whitefield Theological Seminary, which is located in Lakeland, FL. There he studied under Dr. Kenneth Talbot (a former student of Gordon H. Clark). He is now seeking to study at a Messianic Yeshiva in order to earn a certificate in Messianic Studies.

Jason has a Certificate of Apologetics from Biola University (2013). Although he has studied at many educational institutions, a large part of his post high school education has come from his bookshelf.
