Born in Northern California, I’m an adventurous spirit who has also lived in Alaska, Manhattan, and Hawaii. I spent 30 years working variously as a server, bartender, lab tech, and forklift driver while continuously writing as a hobby. Now, however, I have devoted myself to writing full-time.

I fancy my style as a mash-up of the novelty of William Burroughs, the humor of Joseph Heller, and the vigor of James Joyce, with a dash of Palahniuk for transgressive spice.

This is what I write about nowadays; how my view of the world has changed (after a traumatic brain injury and month-long coma), how it is to know that I had a great mind and now struggle with even sometimes the simplest of things. My hopes are not that of gaining pity, but of showing people an insight of life when someone starts all over. My writing may seem sad at times, because let’s face it, it isn’t easy. But, I want you all to know it’s actually kind of a blessing, too. I get to reexamine everything from the beginning. I have also created my own 50-page mandala coloring book after finding that it helped me with concentration, relaxation, and my involuntary muscle movements. For 35 years I worked as a Nurse in ER and Theater. I retired in 2011 and since then I have been able to devote my time to my first love and passion – storytelling.

I love exploring different genres and using life experience to weave into my stories. I love drama, twists, hard heroes with a soft center, which is sometimes hard to find and strong heroines who find themselves completed when they find their soulmate.

In our retirement, my husband and I travel a great deal although now, with an aging and ailing dog, we have confined it to exploring the beauty of Australia in our very well-appointed caravan as we are able to take her with us. I document our travels on my Facebook page for all to enjoy with me.
