Storytelling was pasted down from her grandfather and mother. Jeannette caught the bug at a very young age. Despite having an amazing family, there have also been some sorrows in her life, including the loss of loved ones. As a result, supporting the elderly became of utmost importance.
As she approached a milestone birthday in 2015, she decided to take her passion of writing and blend it with her desire to continue to help others. Author Bio:
The son of Ukrainian immigrants, Alan Felyk was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1950. His family moved to Colorado in 1957, and he has lived in the Denver area for most of his adult life.

A University of Colorado graduate in news-editorial journalism, he worked as a public information aide for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration while earning his degree.

Felyk started his newspaper career as a sports editor for Sentinel Newspapers in Denver and moved to general assignment reporting. He became senior editor of the four newspapers in Adams County. He also wrote freelance music articles for several national publications.

In 1984, Felyk joined Lockheed Martin (then Martin Marietta) as a technical editor. He worked on numerous new-business proposals for the Department of Defense and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He retired in 2011 from his post as manager of the Lockheed Martin’s Space Systems Company Editorial and Graphics department in Denver.

During his life, Felyk also worked as a groundskeeper, janitor, road crew worker, survey crew assistant, busboy, waiter, houseboy, and taxi driver.

He’s a serious music fan (his iPod contains more than 27,000 songs), and he enjoys science fiction and humor. And, of course, writing.

A long time ago, on a warm summer day, I was born in Galesburg, IL. Later, while still very young, I was moved by my parents (without even asking!) to Quincy. Bouncing from parent to parent, and house to house until at 16 I was given a broader tour of the state courtesy of foster care.

At 18, I voluntarily left for Phoenix with a high school friend. For three years I lived there and had many many adventures, before once again returning to Quincy. After getting my life once again settled, I went to college and earned an Associate of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Art.

Over the years I have held many jobs, but never quite found the right one. I’ve written poetry and short stories on a variety of subjects from raising children to finance for online publication. In 2015 I published my first book, and since then I have added many more over a variety of subjects.

I am the mother of five children, all grown and gone, except my youngest. Which I am sure is trying to drive me mad (as all teenagers do) and have plans to write another book in the future about their childhood, much to their anticipated dismay. I currently live in my hometown, in the house I love, and at the center of the chaos, I enjoy so much. I’m often surrounded by my children, my loves, friends and the strays (both two-legged and four) I take in. Even now, I continue to seek out new adventures, misadventures and new mistakes to fill the pages of my next book, laughing as I go.
