Howard Gleichenhaus
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1943, I grew up in the Bronx, NYC and Spring Valley, New York.
I earned my Bachelors degree in Biology from Southern Connecticut State College (1965) and a pair of Masters degrees from Feirleigh Dickinson University, one in Biology (1970) and a second in Psychology (1974).
After a short career in neuro-biochemical research at Rockland Psychiatric Institute, I taught high school biology for 34 years in the Clarkstown Central School District, Rockland County NY. During that time, I also operated my own portrait/wedding photography business. Self taught in Photoshop I keep my hand in the portrait business and still do restoration of heirloom photographs and portrait retouching

Now retired from teaching, my wife Fredda and I now live in Delray Beach, Florida. We have two married sons, and three grandchildren.

I am currently Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Learning in Retirement in Boca Raton and moderator of the Writer’s Studio of the Delray Beach Library.

Writing fiction did not begin until after my retirement from teaching in 2001, with a couple of successful short stories published before I turned my full attention to writing novels.

From that moment, Hunter has to live in a new, fast paced life where every turn could be his last and his decisions are hated by everyone he works with. Hello, my name is Tony Brady. I’m 29 years old and was born in Clearwater Florida. I still live in Florida, but now I’m in a city named Spring Hill a little north of there. I’ve recently published my first novel, the first book of the ‘Thousand Scars’ series. I’ve always loved writing. When I was young it was music and poems that I wrote the most of. Occasionally I would write a short story or something similar, but it wasn’t until I was in my early twenties that I decided to try my hand with novels. I’ve successfully completed writing four novels now and have many others that are well on the way. All of those novels were written longhand as well, mind you, and are all now being converted over and are in the process of publication. My ‘Thousand Scars’ series is about a man trying to save his wife and daughter in a plague riddled world. There’s a lot more to it than that and the story has evolved in an incredible way. The writing process for the ‘Thousand Scars’ series has been unreal, almost magical. I’m currently working on the fourth book in the series and all is well.
