After spending countless hours in cubicles, offices and conference rooms over the last thirty plus years Tom purchased a small house near the water in Panama City Beach, Florida and shifted his focus to his passion for writing thriller and suspense novels.

Tom was born and raised in the twin cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota. When he was young he was moved by a quote by Mark Twain, and it soon became his mantra:

But when his mother learned he was a fourth year freshman he succumbed to her “subtle” pressure, set aside his wanderlust and focused on his studies.

Tom earned a BSB in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. A native Texan, Calvin is a retired Supervising U.S. Probation officer with an M.A. in Criminal Corrections and thirty years of experience working with criminal offenders convicted in state and federal courts. His novels are based on his experiences with those offenders and working with law enforcement officers, the judiciary, prosecuting attorneys, defense counsels, social agencies, and victims of criminal acts.
