Harvey Neil Stidston II was born in 1961 the fourth of five children. His family drove from Chicago to Knights Ferry, California in October 1963 with little or nothing. As a child his family lived off the land not having much but the love of their family. They lived in Oakdale, Fresno, on the Hupa Indian Reservation, and then moved to Clovis, California where he resides today. His father Harvey N. Stidston was a farmer, Ag teacher, and maintenance mechanic. His mother Sherry Stidston worked as a waitress, nurse, and clerk for the county. While Harvey attended school his teachers found he had a learning disability in the second grade but never informed him or his family. At that time little was known about dyslexia as his parents took him too many doctors getting little help. He would barely graduate high school in 1980 not knowing why he had a hard time in school. Given the disposition of Erin along with the love she obviously holds for Kim, I don’t believe that it was as one comment mentioned “A bit odd that a new-to-lesbianism would so quickly accept a Domm role.”
After going on her own to mull things over for a few days, she decided her love for Kim made it worth at least trying it out. Being a natural leader can translate into dominance. With the inspiration gained from reading about D/s online, along with the interest and enjoyment she found in some of it, she gave it a shot with the same determination and commitment she has in other aspects of her life(this exception being further fueled by her feeling for Kim).
I know there are always people who want a bit more of stories they enjoy. I often feel that way too, but certain points are also a good end. In this story’s case, I wish one more chapter had been done. This new D/s aspect was introduced and they had their first time trying it out, but there was definite concern Erin felt with her overall understanding and comfort with the concept. The story only ended with trying out the sexual aspect. D/s, particularly in the way Kim wanted it, is a lifestyle, and not just a sexual fetish. One final chapter could have shown how Erin was coming to terms with this new aspect of their relationship, both the sexual aspect and everything else. The dinner with the parents and fully “coming out” would be a welcome topic, but that pales in importance beside the concept of Erin’s acceptance of this lifestyle. For Erin the idea of D/s is far more complicated than the idea of her being in a lesbian relationship. At least that’s my take on it.

Hunting parties could now stand back great distances and reign down deadly fire to herds of game. Even so, It was not uncommon for tribes to go several days before a large calorie kill took place. Yet these hunters did thrive and their mark is felt on our bodies even today.

It was this hunter / gatherer lifestyle that we as a species were able to not only survive but thrive.
We had optimum health and top physical capabilities that would make most people today competing in the Olympics pale in comparison. Modern man was a lean, mean fighting and hunting machine. Because of this lifestyle, pre-cursers of this survival capacity transmitted to our genetics and are imprinted in our bodies and are expressed in blood types and what our tolerance is for specific kinds of foods are today. Still most people are clueless to this knowledge.

Yes you really are what you eat, especially if you eat the foods that match your genetic imprints. By contrast modern man is sickly, overfed by a huge factor, mostly on highly toxic foods that no “caveman” would ever have eaten. Nor should you do so either.

All I cared about was drinking, party, doing unnecessary and many other stuff that would make me everything else but successful in getting my stuff together or getting healthy.
As I realized that after a big argument with my parents I knew I had to make a change and started to workout properly, eating better foods and stopped drinking. In the beginning it first didn’t make sense and was tiring and I questioned myself. But then these little wins started to come: I could stay in longer workout sessions without getting that tired. My sleep got deeper. I started getting better grades.

At first it weren’t these big accomplishments, but it were these small things that made it worth it.
See this little story as a metaphor. You’re situation might not that nice and you don’t feel good or motivated, but to break out of that paradigm through regular work on your body and start to stack wins upon wins upon wins, you’ll finally take control over your life and become a lot more healthy. And when you’re healthy and more energized, you can go and achieve great things!
