The main female character, for example, very much resembles his granddaughter in every way with one significant exception. His youngest granddaughter’s request to be a dog, in the book, was most challenging. It required nearly half a chapter to explain why the hero’s little dog was named Emily.
“Memories Lost in Time” is a refreshing variation on the typical time-travel, science fiction novel. It’s light reading that will take you on a journey with Ben and his friends as they challenge the very foundation of time, as we know it. Several twists and turns at the end of the book are a welcome surprise, providing the reader with a most satisfying ending.

Born to educators Kenny was raised to follow his dreams and passions. At 15 he and his father drove the AlCan Hwy to Alaska. This 36 day tent camping odyssey traversed our nation’s national park system. His youngest granddaughter’s request to be a dog, in the book, was most challenging. It required nearly half a chapter to explain why the hero’s little dog was named Emily.
“Memories Lost in Time” is a refreshing variation on the typical time-travel, science fiction novel. It’s light reading that will take you on a journey with Ben and his friends as they challenge the very foundation of time, as we know it. This is not an academic book, but an introduction to the huge variety of battles fought in Scotland, or fought by the Scots in the nearly nine hundred years when they were an independent nation. The first part of the book serves as an introduction to Scottish history, while he second section portrays the Scottish soldier throughout history. Part three gives an alphabetical guide and brief notes of the many hundred battles, skirmishes and sieges that pepper the history of Scotland. Unlike most battle books, Dance if ye Can does not concentrate solely on the well-known battles. DAN POPP began his study of Isshin Ryu Karate in 1982 under his father, Frank Popp, and progressed to the rank of Go-Dan or fifth degree black belt. During this same period of time, Dan also studied Modern Arnis, a martial art founded by Remy Presas in the Philippines which consists of stick fighting, knife techniques, joint locks and takedowns.

In 1990, Dan began his study of Kendo under Duk Yeong Kim, eventually progressing to the rank of Youn-dan or fourth degree black belt. Mr. Kim also provided Dan instruction in the art of Shodo (Japanese calligraphy) concurrently with his Kendo training.

Dan joined the Order of Isshin Ryr in 1996 under the instruction of Toby Cooling. He also opened his first dojo or school at that time, being accepted into the Order of Isshin Ryu as a Nidan or second degree black belt. Currently holding the rank of Roku-dan or sixth degree black belt, Dan was named the 2008 Male Instructor of the Year by the International Isshinryu Hall of Fame. In July 2013, he was officially inducted as a member of the International Isshinryu Hall of Fame ibn Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

In 2010, Dan began training in the traditional Japanese art of Shindo Muso-Ryu Jodo with Andy Rodrequez Sensei, from Newark, Delaware.
