Jennifer and Christopher Martucci hoped that their life plan had changed radically in early 2009. To date, the jury is still out. His proposal sparked a discussion, and the discussion lasted deep into the night. By morning, the idea for the Dark Creations series was born.
The Dark Creations series, as well as the Arianna Rose series, the Planet Urth series and the Demon Hunter series are works that were written while Jennifer and Christopher continued about with their daily activities and raised their young children. They changed diapers, potty trained and went to story time at the local library between chapter outlines and served as room parents while fleshing out each section. Life simply continued. And in some ways, their everyday lives were reflected in the characters of each series.
As the story line continues to evolve, so too does the Martucci collaboration. Lunches are still packed, noses are still wiped and time remains a rare and precious commodity in their household, but it is the sound of happy chaos that is the true background music of their writing. They hope that their work, though penned for a young adult audience, will be appreciated by the young of every age, and that all enjoy reading it as much as they enjoyed writing it.

After all they had never met them or never even knew about their existence prior to their research. The tears, regrets and often anger, that became evident on the screen, betrayed how delicate feelings may often lie beneath one’s skin – but are still, nevertheless, very near the surface.At the same time he had been reading Winston Churchill’s volumes about the Second World War and also reading about the Battle of the Bulge, of Band of Brothers fame. It occurred to G J Griffiths: What if someone was looking into their ancestry and discovered that their forefather was involved in a plot to assassinate a famous general from WW2? What if that general was George S Patton who was so vital in relieving the US troops trapped in the Battle of the Bulge? 4) The word, “God,” is what trips up many people up. What if “God” is simply “the supernatural version of you, me, and any individual” not in the sense of defying gravity, per say, but in the sense of having “INTERNAL LOVE, PEACE, and JOY RIGHT NOW” as “God” DWELLS WITHIN each of us yet most have not “activated God” by “LIVING in LOVE.” What if we as a WORLD debated the concept of “God” by discussing “what are better ways we as individuals can LEARN to LIVE IN LOVE, PEACE, and JOY along with enhancing the LOVE, PEACE, and JOY of OTHERS?” What if “God” was simply “Love” and “Love is supernatural” in the sense “Love is NOT NATURAL” (the opposite of “supernatural”) as MOST live in the opposite of LOVE (emotional agony, sorrow, pain, fear, and hate)?

I’ve always loved to tell stories. In fact, my pre-kindergarten teachers voted me best storyteller in the class. But, my passion for writing did not begin until years later when my mother bought me my first book series, The Christy Miller Series. It was a Young Adult series written by Robin Jones Gunn. I read the first installment. I was hooked. I devoured every book in the series, fascinated by how the author used the everyday experiences of a teenage girl to craft a compelling story.
By the time I was 10, I’d started to write my own Young Adult series. I determined to use my sometimes comical and often awkward life experiences as creative fodder. I craved to craft realistic fiction.

As a matured, I realized that realistic fiction could do more than entertain. It could advocate. I dug deep. I explored my passions about the value of all human life and the devastating impact of injustice on society, and I wrote. And, wrote. And, wrote. As I wrote, I grew. As an author. As a person.
