One day…I began to write with no preconceived ideas about anything. I’d read what I had written the day before and add another scene to the adventure. David has been a Navy and Air Force Pilot, as well as an instructor pilot for both branches of service. He retired from service in 2012 after 23 years of service.

He has also been an avid Remote Control (RC) Aircraft enthusiast since 1988 and continues to build and fly RC helicopters, airplanes, and multirotor aircraft. Recently (2013), he expanded his building capabilities by becoming a 3D printing hobbyist and sales/service consultant for a 3D printer company. David’s Undergraduate degree is from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Professional Aeronautics and he holds a M.A. in National Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.

From 1987 to 1990, as an enlisted service member, he serviced and maintained a multitude of electronic and cryptology hardware for the Navy. In 1990 he was accepted into to the Naval Aviation Cadet commissioning program and went to flight school at Whiting Field. After 23 years of military service in the Navy and Air Force David retired as a Lt Col in the Air Force.

As the jack-o-lanterns banter back and forth while giving each other grief, they find themselves forced to look out on the street because, after all, they’re stationary, they’re pumpkins. As Halloween progresses, each jack-o-lantern takes turns telling a story in celebration of the holiday and one will ultimately be judged the winner at night’s end. However, there is a stipulation. Each story has to be about the trick-or-treaters that the jack-o-lanterns watch passing them by as they go about in search of candy. Also, each story gets to be picked by one of the other jack-o-lanterns for added difficulty.

The stories the jack-o-lanterns tell focus on such taboo subjects as a father who is not very good at being one, a little boy who likes to play with matches, a woman who doesn’t enjoy the company of children, not even her own, and a psycho killer who likes to target trick-or-treaters for his murderous games.

I stumbled into the writing business in 2005 by accident, or discovery whichever you like better. I had a website with information’s for Immigrants from Germany to France, and a publisher liked my writing and asked me to make a book out of it and publish with him.To most that would have been a pleasant surprise, to me…, it was more. The passion for writing however, staid.It took me years until I reached a level in English that I was comfortable with to start writing again, I doubled my efforts in that department when I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2011 and it became clear that the time working as a cook was most likely limited. In 2014 I had to quit my job and ended up unemployed. Things was and is, I’m not sick enough to get disability (I’m not dying) and the combinations of illness and dyslexia limits the amounts of jobs I can get hired for. Physical labour is out and nobody hires someone to do a desk job and hires and editor with it.For now I focus on my writing, cover designing and expanding all possible avenues to spread the word and make some money.
