My background is BBC drama and prior to the BBC I was in the army. I saw action in the Falklands war and upon joining the BBC, the head of drama invited me to make a film with him about my experiences during the short war. The result was ‘Mimosa Boys’, which was broadcast on BBC 1 as a Play For Today. I made many more films with the BBC and left to pursue my own writing career.
