I’ve been an avid reader since my mom bought me my first Little Golden Book, back when “Pre-K classes” meant sitting in front of the TV watching The Letter People on PBS. I was reading classics like Homer’s The Odyssey by the time I hit the third grade… then I discovered Tolkien, Asimov, and Bradbury, and it was all downhill from there. The Hobbit was pretty much my gateway drug, which led to a life spent reading every sci-fi and fantasy book I could get my hands on.

Not being very good at adulting, years later I decided to teach martial arts for a living so I could skip the whole “work 30 years at a job you hate” thing and just go straight to doing my hobby full-time.

I currently live in the Hill Country near Austin, Texas, which is where much of my fiction is set. Most days you can find me in a local coffee shop or in my office working on my next book, or in my garage pummeling inanimate objects.

Arie Tamir, nicknamed Leosz, was born in Poland to a well-to-do family. World War II breaks out when he is all of seven years old, and for the next six years he undergoes all the levels of hell that the Holocaust brought upon the Jewish people.

The family first attempts to escape to eastern Poland. They reach in turn two cities – Lvov and Lublin which are heavily bombed. They then run to a village in which they spend several weeks and encounter the German army for the first time. Deciding to return to their home-town of Krakow, they spend the next year and a half living in an area full of German families. This German environment protects the family from harassment and anti-Jewish pogroms. During this time, Leosz lives in an illusion of being in one long adventure and even pretends at times to be a German child.

In March 1941, the family is forced into the Krakow Ghetto, where they live for the next two years Leosz undergoes an accelerated maturation process, learns to smuggle food and fight for his life, and is saved from three mass deportations to the death camps that catch most of his beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. With the liquidation of the ghetto in March 1943, when he is not even 11 years old, Leosz escapes alone, survives for several weeks while pretending to be a Polish street kid, and then hides for several months with a Christian family. At the end, he is caught and brought to the Plaszow labor camp to be executed. Miraculously, he manages to escape this death sentence as well, and is reunited with his father, mother and sister, who are all in the camp working as slave laborers.

For a year, he lives in Plaszow, battling daily to eat enough and survive. During this time, Leosz is saved from two “Actions” specifically aimed at catching children and sending them to their deaths. In August 1944, he is separated from his mother and sister and taken to the Gozen 2 camp in Austria together with his father.

Gozen 2 turns out to be human meat grinder, where torture, starvation, extremely hard labor, beatings and murder are the way of life. Leosz’s father is killed in this hell. Several weeks before the end of the war, Leosz is brought along with a group of other prisoners to a kind of secondary death camp right next to Mauthausen. Due to a lot of luck, good people, and resourcefulness, Leosz survives until the end of the war.

On May 5th, Leosz is freed by the American army, recovers quickly, returns to life, and enjoys his freedom with all his heart, mind and soul.

SGR: Great to see you again in Panama City.?
PA: I always love to see you. Anything new your side?

SGR: I just started a new publication and I will talk to you later about it. I need your advice. Let’s talk about you on this interview? You’ve got 18 books on the making, why chose Panama for writing?
PA: In Europe, the everyday hurly-burly is distracting. I need peace and quiet for some of my reflective books. Here I find this. I had a 15-hour trip to come here and at 5am, I was already up looking for my first expresso.

SGR: Your books are well defined, in a specific niche. Can you define it in your own words for my readers?
PA: My autodidact studies led me into Electronic medicine and Health issues in general. My niche is founded around Power Healing, Power thinking and Power Playing. If people get into these three powerful fields, then they will look radiant.

SGR: OK, let’s start with Power Healing. Can you explain?
PA: Instead of interfering with the body, what about letting it do what it wants naturally? In the series of books, I explain how the energy fields inter-relate to each other to make this happen. Although the medical authorities are correct in saying that the body produces chemicals that need to be rebalanced, the fundamental element still remains bio-electromagnetic. That is where my science starts. This is Power Healing.

SGR: And Power thinking?
PA: The mind expresses itself through behaviour (gestalt base and related fields). The behaviour expresses itself through environment, habits and individual expressiveness (morphology and related fields). Individual expressiveness is shown through connectivity of each electrical impulse (psychology and all related fields). We have tools that accommodate each of these fields. We can use emotional freedom therapy (EFT tapping), neurolinguistic programming (NLP), neuro-musicology, chi-gong, reiki, Scenar, auricular therapy, informational medicine and so on. I wrote a book on each of them as my involvement starts with a personal story. These are some of my interests. Power thinking incorporates the mastery and use of all the disciplines.

SGR: Now explain Power Playing for us please.
PA: I studied the old cultures, the ancient ones, you know, Greek, Egypt, pharaohs time and before. Playing is the time spent when burden time is over or pushed aside. Playing is using your free time, the time when there is no involvement of significant nature that requires your attention for survival, reproduction, protection or feeding. Those 4 elements are the basis of existence. Anything outside of them is playing field.
SGR: Can you explain what is your involvement in each of these power areas?
PA: Let’s take them in turn. In the Power Healing, I help people heal themselves, for free. I donate my time and devotion as much as I can. I write books in all of the power fields. I teach health practitioners all I can about Electronic Medicine, on an informal basis.
In the power thinking, I instruct people on the use of neuro-musicology. I write compositions and music for this purpose. I also practise NLP, EFT and other power thinking strategies. There will be some writings about the relationship between DNA, I-Ching and NLP. I am also writing about antenatal issues and plenty more for you and your readers to discover. I am opening a University Club for people to tell me their own experiences and what they want from me. Let them know. It will be on paulardennes.com. PA: When women talk like that, I want women in power. In fact, why not create a new series called Power Women? I’ll start on it tomorrow.

I will think of it and we have dinner together in a week’s time if that’s OK with you. Bocas del Toro if you want.

SGR: I love that island. I’ll meet you there. Now, my readers want to know about your sex life. Can you give us a glimpse of thought?
PA: In Bocas del Toro would be better if you can wait. OK, your readers can’t wait. Sex is creation, creation is beauty, and beauty is God. God is everything including your readers and me. Ask your readers to deduct my conclusion.

SGR: Wicked answer. I’ll ask them. What’s coming up now?
PA: I am developing some new games. They are in the power playing series. Apparently, they are not bad at predicting present and future events. Be ready and watch the news.

SGR: Any more studies?
PA: Not on the formal side but as I am self publishing, there are plenty of new things I need to understand. Like formatting for kindle and print, cover design, proofreading, editing, marketing and promotion and so on. It never ends. More coffee?
