I’m not sure if 2016 will see the 3rd in this series being completed, but we shall see. Not being attached to a single genre, I tend to write whatever grips me at the time. This is what happened with ‘Unflinching’, my first Western. The story simply rolled out of me and, since its publication, it has become my most successful novel to date. It briefly received ‘best-seller’ status and continues to do well. I’m now fully immersed in the old West (in all honesty, Westerns have forever been my favourite era. The very first book I read was a Western and now I’m writing them myself!). I have written the 2nd in the series featuring the laconic Simms, a Pinkerton detective, and have a 3rd already planned out. This may well be my main focus now.
Nevertheless, despite the above, 2016 should see at least 3 more novels of mine published. Two more thrillers, and a horror set in Germany. You never know, I might even add that further Viking story and a couple more Westerns. Six books out in one year. Not bad, but I have a lot of lost years to make up for. I should have done all this twenty-odd years ago, but life tended to get in the way, as it often does. Now, writing gets in the way of life, which is a far better situation.

The investigation takes them to the city, where they find clues that Stone’s helper is also his lover. That made Davis realize that one of the policemen working on the case, inspector Ross Stevens, had been acting very strange lately. At the end, Stone admits that he is guilty, but refuses to give up his lover. Stevens manages to escape and cannot be found.

I began my career by getting kicked out of the Canterbury School of Architecture (now part of the University of Kent).
I continued in the same vein throughout my twenties, trying my hand at any number of jobs and getting myself fired from all of them. During that period I experimented enthusiastically with mind-altering drugs, and drank so much that I almost became an alcoholic.
Looking back on that period of my life, I see now that it was the ideal grounding to become a writer. After all, how many writers have been alcoholics and/or drug abusers? (Malcolm Lowry, Dylan Thomas, Shelley, Coleridge and De Quincy spring immediately to mind, and there are many, many more).
I met the wonderful woman who was to become my wife when I was thirty years old, and her
influence more-or-less saved me from a downward spiral into liver failure and an early death.
We now have two adult daughters who I adore. We once also had an adorable cat, but sadly our cat died many years ago. I’m still in mourning for her.
I’ve written two works of non-fiction which are still in print. I’ll spare you the details.

Author Bio:
Lars Teeney was born in Montana. After going to an art school in San Francisco, racking up insane student loans and working for years as a freelance designer for the start-up culture, he became burnt out. He abandoned the Bay Area for the Pacific North-west, where he could hike and bike to my heart’s content. He has worked for a variety of technology companies and has a keen passion for politics, history, science and art.
