I was born in a small rural town in Hertfordshire, England. My ancestry has been traced back to the 3rd century AD in Nottingham, England. Prior to this we were Danish Vikings.
Until the early 20th century, we were landowners and farmers in Kent & Essex. With the modernisation of farming techniques, we sold up and moved nearer to the capital, finally settling in Tring.
My paternal grandparents, who inspired my love of the past, were bother teachers, specialising in English and History.
My paternal grandmother was also a descendant from the Scottish clan of Galbraith. We have our own tartan in the colours of black, green, blue and white squares.
My mother is descended from the single family of Standingford, (often spelt the Anglo-Saxon way of Stanton). There is only one family with this name and all, no matter how distant, are related. We have our own heraldic shield and family motto. Dum Spiro, While I Breathe.
I am the middle of 5 children, with an older sister, a twin brother and a younger sister and brother.
My hobbies include reading, writing, listening to classical music, walking the dog and jet skiing.
I read a variety of authors, including Oscar Wilde, Shakespeare, Noel Coward, and Jane Austen, while my favourite composer is Bach and Ivor Novello.
I am a full-time writer, but I also contribute articles to various magazines, charities, and private publications.
Before I decided to become a full-time writer, I worked for the British Government.
My husband and I have been married 40 years and we have two daughters, four grandchildren and one dog.

The GMP assembled a task force of gangbusters whose leader DI Stuart Corcoran declared a ‘zero tolerance’ policy on Brewster’s Fairfield Mob.
On a rainy, sticky night in 1999, Corcoran led his team into battle. It transpired to be the last stand for the brutal Brewsters, trapped in the Fairfield Arches; in the shadow of Manchester’s Piccadilly Station, they met their bloody end.

They had been told that the Brewsters were all dead shortly after the battle at the Arches.
A new task force headed by Corcoran’s protégé, DCI Beverley Holland must find the killer before the remaining ‘Heroes’ are killed.
In a dark, unsettling atmosphere of hatred and determination, bodies begin piling up. The killer seems to know everything the police know, impossible as that may seem.
Enright travelled to the birthplace of the Brewsters in Ireland and discovered something devastatingly crucial to the case.

Born and raised in Michigan, I spent summers at the lake, swimming, catching frogs, and chasing fireflies, winters building things out of cardboard and construction paper, writing stories, and dreaming of faraway places. Since I didn’t make honors English in High School, I thought I couldn’t write. So I started hanging out in the art room. The day I borrowed a camera, my love affair with photography began. Long before the birth of the pixel, I was exposing real silver halides to light and marveling at the magic of an image appearing on paper under a red light.
After college, I freelanced in commercial photography studios. During the long days of rigging strobes, one story haunted me. As happens in life though, before I could put it to words, I was possessed by another dream—to be a wildlife photographer. I trekked through the woods to find loons, grizzly bears, whales, and moose.
Then, for six years, I put my heart and soul into publishing a nature magazine, Whisper in the Woods. But it was not meant to be my magnum opus. This time, my attention was drawn skyward. I’d always been fascinated by the aurora borealis, shimmering in the night sky, but now my focus went beyond, to the cosmos, to wonder about our place in the universe. In the spring of 2010, I sat down at the computer, started typing words, and breathed life into a curious boy named Kiran in my first novel, The Path to the Sun. Together, in our quest for truth, Kiran and I have explored the mind and spirit. Our journey has taken us to places of new perspective. Laura writes because it’s her destiny! Okay, that may be overly dramatic, but she thinks there’s something to it. Her parents named her after the author who penned the Little House books– Laura Ingalls Wilder. From the moment she learned the origin of her name, she got the bug and knew she had to do the same. Aside from narrating the life and death struggles of her Barbies, she first tried to write a story in high school. The unfortunate melodrama felt like more of a Sailor Moon meets Justice League mash-up than a real book. In college, Laura used visual arts for her creative outlet with a drawing minor, but she still wanted to write. Everyone knows you don’t make money as an author, so she did the prudent thing and got a literature degree with a technical writing certification. To actually get a tech writing job though, she had to go back for her Masters in Technical Writing. The classes she took for that degree opened her eyes to the mechanics of writing, and actually inspired her to work on fiction once again.
While she was getting that MA, Laura started dating her now husband. They married in 2008, and he’s been her best friend and biggest supporter ever since. They honeymooned in Italy, where he had lived as a teenager. It was nice to have a private tour guide who spoke the lingo.
In 2011, their daughter was born, who they plan to inflict their weirdness on full force. At three years old, she already loves watching Idolm@ster 2, a Japanese video game with singing anime idols. Though I have been writing all my life, this is the first novel I have actually finished to the point that I would put it out there for others to read. Andy Lang was born in the north west of England in 1965 and worked in the early years as an engineer in an agricultural manufacturing company. Moving from the United Kingdom in the late 1990’s he subsequently spent many years in the entertainment industry in Cataluña, Northern Spain and property sales in Andalucia, Southern Spain. After several years workings as an Independent Financial Advisor in East Africa he now writes full time.
