In an inheritance letter that Cera’s mama (Janine) receives in the weeks that follow her mother’s death, she is informed that she is to receive all of her mother’s assets which are to include a house in New York, a new Cadillac, and a substantial amount of cold, hard cash.

Unlike some, I didn’t start out to write a novel. I viewed learning fiction techniques as a means to improve my non-fiction writing. To that end, I took an eight-week class on how to write a novel.
Our assignment was to write the first chapter of our book. I volunteered to read mine aloud.
After I finished, the class applauded.
“That’s really good,” my teacher said. “What happens next?”
I reminded her that she’d asked us to write the first chapter, not what happened next, so I had no idea. She pushed me to continue the story, and by the end of the class, I wanted to know what happened next. That quest, to tell my character’s stories, to give them a voice, to learn what happens next, drives me as a writer.
Since then, I’ve sold 15 short stories and written three novels. The first two books in the Kadence MacBride Mysteries: Death of an Idiot Boss and Death of an Island Tart, and Build a Mate, the first Holiday with Love Novella are available on Amazon. The One, the second Holiday with Love will be published later this year.
As a work in progress, Death of an Idiot Boss placed second in the Daphne Du Maurier Award of Excellence for Unpublished Romantic Mystery/Suspense. Me llamó la atención este librito por el título, que tanto evoca la cocina tradicional, y viendo un precio tan interesante, me decidí a comprarlo. Cuando se descargó en mi Kindle, me encontré con un pequeño tesoro gastronómico: 64 recetas tradicionales explicadas con sencillez y claridad.
En fin que considerando todo lo que ofrece este libro por un precio tan exiguo, este recoplatorio de recetas “de toda la vida”, merece sobradamente una calificación de 5 estrellas.

I hope you enjoy some or all of the Dude Not Perfect 11 Step Breakthrough books. I’ve had a blast researching subjects and injecting insights from my personal experience.
Over the last thirty years, I’ve held positions as professional structural engineer, maintenance manager, healthcare executive, quality improvement consultant and entrepreneur. It’s been a pleasure to explore the enclaves of my mind to recall experiences and put them to word.
My bias on how to live life more fully changed dramatically when my wife and I took the better part of 2004 traveling the far reaches of our planet to learn how others live. We learned that for us, a live well-lived was about challenging ourselves with new experiences and not just working for the weekend.
Corporate life was short-lived after that experience. I now, like many of you, work from home where I have more flexibility – Carpe Diem! I sell ideas through books and sell material goods on-line with my business partner (another Dude Not Perfect).
I am husband, father, campfire musician and huge sports nut. I am a DIY’er convinced that everything short of cardio-vascular surgery can be learned from you tube.
