I will take you on my life journey from when I was a newborn puppy with my mother and siblings to my last days with my family and I will share with you how the actions of all humans help shape our behavior.
I will share with you some off my favorite places to visit as dogs we always love new adventures but as I look back I think of some of the memories that didn’t make it into my story such as my family trying to train me to carry the mail or bring them my leash before a walk. As I sit here thinking of these things I’m sitting with my paw over my face shaking my head and thinking Oh wow how that training did not go to well for starters I ended my getting doggie slobber over the mail, so they got wet mail.
Animals are sent to humans for a reason and many people have forgotten why. Maybe this is why so many pets end up at shelters. Do we find you or do you find us? If you are someone who has forgotten why then the answers will be in my story. I am extremely blessed that my mother can see the world through my eyes, listen to me and tell my story for me and hopefully it may just help one of my four legged friends from being taken to a shelter.
At the end of my story make sure to read the note from my mother she will let you know how blessed she feels and talks about her own thoughts from being a mother to us to how we discriminate dogs for being certain breeds.

I originally purchased her to pursue my love of jumping but she is showing great dressage potential I believe that animals come into our lives for a reason maybe she is going to bring out a hidden talent in me and I am very excited to be learning dressage and it makes me think about how I am going to tell stories in a completely different way through music and choreography.
I am not psychic but I do have a small sixth sense I do see, sense and feel spirits and energies and I do hear voices from my spirit guides. I am a huge believer in meditation I love just allowing my spirit and my guides to just guide me, I love the possibilities that come with exploring beyond the surface and unearthing something hidden deep within myself the universe as a whole invigorates me.
Apart from meditation, horse riding and writing I love the beach, enjoying a sunset or just being outside enjoying nature, I guess deep down there is a little bit of a hippy girl inside me.

That morning someone dropped a bomb off in the paper’s drop box. The bomb, filled with little bits of glass and nails, shot 70 yards outside the building when set off by the experts.
We were barely six months past 9/11, and the world reeled around us. The national media started calling, but the FBI said it would be months before a full-scale investigation could begin. Around the same time, mailboxes were being blown up in the Midwest, and our little bomb scare with no deaths amounted to nothing after the first twenty-four hours. Fortunately, I went away to the Keys a few days later for a planned and now much needed vacation.
As the breezes blew through the curtains of the beach house, I woke with a line in my head.
“The bomb sat on Kelly Sands’ desk for an hour before she noticed it.” I opened my laptop and typed in the line.
The first line of Tortoise Stew never changed through many revisions. Writing the novel helped me cope with my fear of another bomb finding its way to the drop box or under the hood of my car as I sat at yet another commission meeting with shouting matches filled with threats from both sides. My muse wrote Tortoise Stew.

They belonged to teenagers Robert Gibbons, Fannie Gibbons, and Emma Carrico, who had all been bludgeoned to death. The girls had also been sexually assaulted. A formerly quiet Kentucky town was plunged into a nightmare fueled by grief and lust for revenge.
• Christmas Eve Combustion: On Christmas Day, 1885, Patrick Rooney and his wife were found dead in their home in Seneca, Illinois. Rooney died from smoke inhalation, caused by his wife’s body suddenly bursting into flames. It is an early and sensational case of spontaneous human combustion.
• Delia’s Gone: Early on Christmas morning in 1900, fourteen-year-old Moses “Cooney” Houston murdered his lover, Delia Green, who was the same age. Because Georgia had no youth justice system, Cooney Houston was charged as an adult. The senseless crime shocked the citizens of Savannah, Georgia, and inspired songs later recorded by Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan.
• The Holyhead Horror: On Christmas Day, 1909, a horrific murder took place in North Wales. Gwen-Ellen Jones was killed by her ex-soldier lover, William Murphy, in a manner so depraved that even in an era when domestic violence was commonplace, people were shocked. The murder and subsequent execution of William Murphy are still talked about in Holyhead today.
• Changing of the Guard: Early on the morning of December 26, 1920, New York underworld legend Edward “Monk” Eastman, was shot down by a crooked Prohibition agent, ending a thirty-plus year career marked by murder and mayhem. Eastman, who had once ruled the roost in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, died in a freezer gutter.
• The Adonis Club Massacre: December 25, 1925 was the last Christmas on earth for Irish gangster Richard “Pegleg” Lonergan. He and his White Hand gang had taunted, abused, and killed their Italian rivals for years. Finally, when Lonergan and his boys went to the Italian-owned Adonis Social Club, their resentful enemies got even.
• Lawson Family Massacre: On December 25, 1929, North Carolina tobacco farmer Charlie Lawson murdered his wife and six of their seven children. The reason for this brutal act is a subject of debate even today, but may be attributable to a terrible family secret that remained hidden until 1990.
All of these events took place in the distant past. People who knew the victims, remembered the circumstances of their demise, or were directly involved in the investigations are dead. That’s why these cases were chosen for this book. The passage of time has transmuted them into tragic mysteries, ensuring that they arouse astonishment, sympathy, and indignation instead of the grief and personal loss that is at odds with the holiday season.

The engineer said the last thing he saw was his children looking up at him from the windows of the car.
Although this is a work of fiction, and this is just a story between two, make believe people, I felt compelled to tell his story about how utterly and completely devastating this would be. The engineer was never able to return to work after this.
