Synopsis
MOLLY knew she was different from an early age. She had abilities others didn’t possess. She was super-sensitive to her surroundings and there had been numerous times when she had foreseen impending danger. She was abandoned on the doorsteps of Safe Harbor Children’s Home when she was a baby arriving with the clothes on her back and a golden ring pinned to her overalls. The ring had always fascinated her. It had unusual engraving that no one had interpreted. Her only identity was a slip of paper tucked into her pocket with the name, Molly B., printed on it.
As the story opens Molly is celebrating her eighteenth birthday and preparing to leave the orphanage. She is apprehensive about leaving the only home and family she has ever know; however, her burning desire to find her biological mother outweighs her fear. The good news is she learns of an anonymous trust fund which someone setup for her so she knows somebody, somewhere, loves her. She just didn’t know who yet.
With the help of the orphanage administrator, Ms. Olson, gets Molly a job waitressing at Sid’s Place, a family-style eatery in the city. When Molly finally hears from Doctor Rosschild and learns he wants pictures of the ring and the engraving, Wade goes to work to make the pictures and take the package to the post office for mailing to the doctor. While he is gone Molly has another visit from her Spirit Guide. She tells Molly to ‘guard the ring.’ Before Molly can question Shakta the woman disappears.
When Molly learns a woman has visited the orphanage with questions about her she shares the information with Wade. He decides it is time to act so he visits his Dad’s law firm hoping to learn the identity of the person who originally setup the trust for Molly. After much investigation Wade finds the person he thinks is Molly’s mother. They arrange to travel and meet her. It turns out to be Molly’s biological mother and Molly learns she was not abandoned but left at the orphanage to protect her. Someone was after the golden ring and Molly’s mother did the only thing she could to protect her child which was to leave her at the orphanage and then went into hiding. When Molly notices her Mother’s ring is identical to the one she wears her Mother explains the rings are a set and whoever possesses both are chosen people.
With many of Molly’s questions answered she sees a brighter future with her mother as part of her life. She finally decides to utilize her special skills for the good of mankind and accept the fact she will always be different.

I grew up in middle Tennessee and always had a love for writing.
On my 9th birthday, my parents gave me a diary and I guess that gift launched my career, but I didn’t realize it at the time. Growing up with no siblings for companionship, I was an avid reader spending most of my summer vacations at our local library where I would check out the maximum number of books allowed for a two week period and then wind up visiting our Thursday afternoon bookmobile and getting more books.
I married my one and only sweetheart and after 45 years of marriage, he is still my one and only. He encouraged me to write and always had faith in my ability even when I didn’t. Raising a family and working full-time gave me little time to pursue a writing career which was interrupted by a return to school to obtain my degree.
My English professor encouraged me to pursue a writing career, but the time didn’t seem right so I returned to a job I hated. After retirement I decided it was finally time to get serious and follow advice I’d been receiving since I was a teenager.
I enrolled in a children’s writing course and submitted several articles and word puzzles that were published in children’s magazines under the name Nancy Moore. My course instructor at the institute encouraged me to continue my writing after I completed my course work and, of course, my husband had always been my source of support.
I currently spend my days writing and reading, reading, reading. I am currently working on a full-length fantasy/romance novel scheduled to be completed early next year. I find story ideas from reading my old journals, taking long walks in the woods and people watching. If I’m really stuck for a character or plot idea, I pack up my notebook and pen and go to a local mall and start observing shoppers. Ben was born in London and spent most of his childhood in the semi-rural environs of north-west Kent, before heading off to the altogether different and industrial metropolis of Manchester for three years ay university.

Glenn Peirson walked boldly and compassionately in this world, blazing new pathways, dreaming new dreams into being, and maintaining beautiful relationships. The complications of cancer treatment suddenly claimed him in November, 2009, after a three year heroic battle. Glenn was a scholar, athlete, musician, spiritual giant, poet, gardener and great lover of the Land of Narnia. Before he completed secondary school, he was admitted on scholarship to the University of Guelph. During this time he was tenor soloist at Metropolitan United Church in Toronto. He received research grants, in particular, an NSERC grant in brain laterality and music. He was the Winegard Gold-Medalist at his convocation.
Glenn then studied at McMaster Medical School. During medical school and residency, he sang with the celebrated Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra’s Chamber Choir, Toronto. Glenn also created practicums that took him to Moose Factory and James Bay, to Kapsowar in Kenya, and to St. Oswald’s Hospice in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in England. He and Mary Beingessner, who had studied at University of Toronto Medical School, met in residency. They married in 1991, in their final year of residency and while Glenn was Chief Resident. In 1992, they spent two months in Malaysia, running a preventative medicine research project they had designed. Glenn and Mary moved to Guelph in 1994. Mary established her career in public health medicine. Glenn worked as a palliative care physician, a community health centre physician and, in 1999, established a private practice in Cambridge, near Guelph. He was also the Addictions physician at Stonehenge Therapeutic Community. He maximized a life-style that included time for his highly cherished home-life, his music, his faith and finally his writing. He was a founding member of Tactus Vocal Ensemble, and a wine and spa writer for North American Inns magazine.

Star allows him to drag her back to the bedroom. Just as he is ready for his seduction, she whips the hunting knife out and slashes him, twice. Roaring, bleeding, he starts toward her, only to collapse on the floor: Raquel has cracked him over the head.
While they are able to escape, Bower comes back to life far sooner than they had expected; he and his cowboys hunt them down. No more messing around. This time, Star will be sold to Suarez, a bandito leader.
Meanwhile, Matt and Frances, all unknowing of the danger Star is in, have paid a visit to her mother, finding out the facts of Adsila’s past and Star’s disappearance.
Back in town, Matt loads up his horse and heads south, tracking the bandito leader to his lair. He is able to rescue Star, and they flee, but the gang follows. The pair is forced to hole up in a shack and battle it out, guns blazing. During one quiet interim, Matt admits his love for her, and she for him.
In the middle of another barrage, help arrives: Sheriff Goddard and his posse. Loose ends are tied up on the scene; others later on, with a side trip to the Condor to rescue Raquel and find that Bower had been killed by his outlaw compatriot.
Another longer trip, with more lawmen, to the Sierra Nevada silver mine, frees the slaves and reunites Benito with his sister.
Matt returns wounded, but not too badly to wed his bride a few weeks later, in a ceremony for which all the Yancey brothers have gathered.

I’ve been writing since I was a kid, though we were so poor I had to write my first short stories on the back of overdue notices from the bank using pencil stubs we stole from a nearby mini-golf course.
Okay, not true, except for the “writing since a kid,” thing.
The filmmaking bug caught me in high school and I pushed myself in that direction for college and career. I’ve worked in the film industry in just about every position imaginable, though the photographic and lighting departments spoke to me the loudest.
I’ve shot a lot of documentary series for networks such as Discovery Channel and The History Channel. These gigs led to opportunities to actually write the shows. In addition I’ve written and sold dozens of feature screenplays. I even got into a niche business of writing screenplays for rich dudes who wanted to make a movie but didn’t have the time (or ability) to write the scripts themselves. None of these have ever been made, which is too damned bad as they were pretty good.
But script writing is a lonely business. A finished script is a blueprint, it isn’t something you can hand to your buddy to read, unless he’s a fellow script writer. So I thought, why not try a novel?
Having had all sorts of adventures during my shooting career, I decided to try to incorporate some of the places I’ve been and some of the absolutely crazy shit I’ve done (check out my website mindofmatthowe.com) into a novel. The idea for it hit me like a frying pan to the face while I was walking the streets of Columbus, Ohio after a long day shooting a fertilizer commercial. That became “Waypoint.”
Writing the book was one of the greatest pleasures of my life, and the response to it has been fantastic. I’m working hard on my follow up.
