I began my writing career as far back as 1969, when I won an inter-schools’ writing competition after submitting a well-thumbed and hastily scribbled essay entitled ‘My Pet’. Growing up, I was extremely shy and introverted. I had lived my life as a negative, lazy, depressed young woman.On day everything changed – I look myself in the mirror and finally had enough. I reached the point of “emotional threshold” and finally made a decision that would shape me life forever.

The only way to transform myself socially would be to face my biggest fears around meeting people. I ended up spending years immersing myself in different social environments developing my social skills and confidence.
I also have an immense passion for health and fitness, and have made an incredible transformation in my physical body over the years.
And last but not least, travelling has been a big passion of mine. I have lived in different cities around the world and it’s important for me to experience life fully and enjoy every moment of it.

Q – So, what makes the Diana Hunter series special?
A – When I set out to write these books, I wanted to create something that mirrored exactly the kind of books I like to read. My top picks are always mystery novels, especially featuring female protagonists with attitude. Diana is badass and I can’t tell you how many readers tell me she reminds them of themselves. She makes you feel you can do anything!
The Diana Hunter books are a great mix of genres. There is nothing graphic or gratuitous in these books. Your Aunt Martha could definitely read them. But they are not “roses around the cottage door” –type mysteries. They are more hard-boiled with some romantic tension, suspense and thriller action to keep things interesting!
Overall, the Diana Hunter series is designed to keep you turning the pages – and I’ve made sure there’s never a dull moment.
Q – In what order should I read the books?
A – The Diana Hunter mysteries can be read and enjoyed in any order, however, Hunted is a prequel to the other books in the series. Unlike the other books, it is not a complete mystery. It relates the events that create the backdrop to the series and fills in some of Diana’s personality and motivations. You don’t have to have read the prequel to make sense of the later books but it helps.
I’ve made sure not to include any spoilers for those who are new to the characters and any existing fans of Diana’s adventures will still find plenty of fresh action and mystery as well as perhaps a few answers. All in all, there is something for everyone. The events in this prequel take place a few years before Snatched, the first book in the Diana Hunter series of mysteries.
If you do want to read them in order, I’d suggest the following sequence:
– Hunted (prequel)
– Snatched
– Stolen
– Chopped
Q – So, why should readers give these books a try?
A – Because the Diana Hunter series is a fast, fun, thrill-ride that takes no prisoners! Our heroine is kicks butt but has a soft center. We want her to win out even when she’s making poor decisions and alienating those who can, and want, to help her. I think most women will see a little, or a lot, of themselves in Diana Hunter.
Ultimately, readers who enjoy lightning-fast pacing with a plot that twists and turns all the way to the end will get a kick out of this series.

Keith Whiting was born in London, England at a very early age! His first musical memories are hearing Count Basie on his dad’s gramophone. At the age of 7 he saw the band on TV with drummer Rufus Jones and his life direction was set – A gift of a snare drum – and every spare minute from then on was taken up with practice. Culminating with his first paying gig at the age of twelve!
Many hours of practice and performance later, at the age of 15 he quit school and joined the band Rare Amber. The next year was spent driving up and down the motorways of England playing at clubs across the country – 5 musicians, a roadie, and the bands equipment packed into a transit van.
Following a trip to Germany – 2 weeks playing 7 hours a night – not only pulled the band together, but also ensured they all lost weight, as they never got paid and spent the whole 2 weeks surviving on jam sandwiches! Returning to England a contract was signed with Polydor and the band went into the studio to record their first album. Sessions were from 9am to 1pm – at 2pm The Who came in to work on the album “Tommy”.
Soon after the release of the album, with rising debt, mounting internal dissension and management problems the band broke up. With no promotion and no band to support it the album quickly disappeared, only to later become a collector’s item with copies selling for as much as 350 Euros.
Upon leaving the band Keith moved into recording and producing, first at Phillips and then at Decca, working with Artists as diverse as Dusty Springfield, Ben Webster, ELO, and Pink Floyd.
After a short stint in Africa engineering and producing the album BLO – Step Three, he moved to Canada. His first production in Canada was the Juno nominated, “Gold” album FM. Soon followed by recordings with Oscar Peterson, Pat Metheny, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Marc Jordan, Doug Riley Roberta Flack and many of the US and Canada’s finest jazz and pop musicians.
Moving into the 90’s he continued to work as a producer and also founded 2 groups – The Gospel Project and Kaleefah. Kaleefah performed with Celine Dion and Billy Preston. Their album “Listen to the World” was later nominated for a Juno.
With the turn of the new century Keith expanded his creative vision writing and producing his own material, including 3 musicals. He produced the Classic Jazz Album of the Year “Stride” featuring Doug Riley, Tyler Yarema, and John Roby, wrote and photographed “The Adventure Guide to Barbados”, and completed his first novel “Always: You’ll Never Walk Alone”. He also wrote for and edited 2 magazines – Macedonian Life and Whitesand.
He is currently working on a book “Jazz Voices”, writing and producing music for Dreams & Lullabies.com, composing music and doing sound design for the play “Tightrope Time”, writing and co-writing songs with an array of jazz musicians for an album of Jazz Lullabies, and working on producing his musical “Somewhere For Me”.
In his spare time he has crewed on a racing yacht, attained the rank of second-degree black belt in Karate, and run the Toronto Marathon.
