Q – So, what makes the Reverend Annabelle Dixon series special?
A – Annabelle. When I set out to write these books, I wanted to create a series that featured a heart-warming, smart, sometimes ditzy, ultimately good protagonist that we all undisputedly adore. It is Annabelle – her humanity, her empathy, her big heart – who makes the series so special. With her sometimes partner, sometimes antagonist, Inspector Mike Nicholls, they create some fun and drama as the small town mysteries unfold with humor and intrigue.
If you enjoy the TV series’, The Vicar of Dibley, Miranda, or Midsomer Murders, I think you will enjoy the Reverend Annabelle cozy mysteries.
Q – In what order should I read the books?
A – The Reverend Annabelle Dixon cozy mysteries can be read, and enjoyed, in any order. The prequel, Death at the Café is set in London and takes place a few years before the rest in the series. All the books are complete mysteries.

Annabelle is a fun, uncomplicated character who is soulful, devout, smart, and funny with penchant for cake. Both Jamie and I are English and we feature many English countryside rituals, institutions and customs in these stories.
Ultimately, readers who enjoy gentle pacing with a plot that twists and turns, features much fun, drama, quintessential Britishness, and small town murder all the way to the end will get a kick out of this series. Lara Chase was born and raised in rural Indiana surrounded by corn fields. Finding her environment somewhat boring, she spent most of her childhood with her nose buried in a book or writing stories in her head to entertain herself. The lands outside his reach have an easier life, but the Prophet is always trying to expand his territory.
The beginning of the story details how the lives of two dissimilar characters (Donald and Phillip) are damaged irreversibly by the Prophet. As the book follows these two lives, they eventually come together when both are fighting on the outnumbered side of good. Only solid military prowess and planning, coupled with technologies from the old way which are not fully understood, can hope to defeat the Prophet’s armies. Donald finds his love, Rachel, but she is captured by the Prophet’s minions due to his bad judgment. His heart forces him to set off alone to rescue her in the mountains of winter, in the face of an invading army.
Book is well written, and the author shows his command of the English language well. It also has an obvious Christian influence, in a way that is refreshing but not heavy-handed. It is obvious the author researched heavily into cavalry warfare from Medieval times, and the book “feels” very real. It is not a short read, but is worth the effort and sets up well for a sequel.

Harry James Fox is from the USA, born in Colorado. He was raised on a cattle ranch in the western, mountainous part of the state. In many ways, his early life was much more like the 19th century than the 20th. He can’t remember not being able to ride, since he was thrown on a horse’s back when he was still crawling. His parents taught him to be self-reliant and responsible, and brought him up in the Christian faith. In some ways it was a hard life, with lots of bumps and bruises and early responsibility. There was no modern conveniences. But he would not trade that early life for another.
He served in the US Army and spent a tour Vietnam during the war. Nearly 48 years ago he married his love, Carroll, and they have two sons and six grandchildren. He spent a career in natural resource management with the U.S. Department of the Interior. Upon retirement, they served as missionaries and lived in the Philippines and Thailand for awhile, then he decided to spend more time with writing, which always was an interest of his.
He likes the outdoors, playing with grandchildren, patriotic parades, horses, coffee, Earl Gray tea, green chiles from New Mexico. He doesn’t like chocolate, sweets, long speeches or needing reading glasses.

1.) Be An Individual
Don’t compromise your own values and beliefs to try to fit in. The status quo is overrated and unoriginal. It’s much more fun to be a rebel, so hold your ground. Don’t let other people decide for you.
2.) Don’t Engage in Gossip
What people gossip about is usually greatly exaggerated to suit the needs of the people telling the story. By nature, gossip is laced with insecurity and jealousy. Happy people have no need for gossip because they’re more focused on their own creative ambitions–like art, music, and education–than they are on promoting negativity.
3.) Think Happy Thoughts
Be it a metal gig, reading a book on a stormy night, or out clubbing with hotties, the definition of happiness varies from person to person. It’s much easier to be happy when you look at the world through its potential–those small things that bring some sort of peace and understanding to your heart.
4.) Don’t Lose Hope
Sometimes, when things go wrong, it’s a blessing in disguise, directing us towards another path or way of doing something that is much more prosperous and true. Not always. But sometimes. You just have to shake off a fall and keep your gaze forward.
5.) You Can’t Please Everyone
When you try to please everyone, it backfires. Not only is it emotionally exhausting, but people become so accustomed to you saying yes, they take it personally when you finally say no.

Q – So, what makes the Remembering Raven series special?
A – It’s a mixture of things, actually. When I started writing these books, I wanted to create a series of books that I would love to read. I love paranormal romances and vampire love stories, but I also love books with some action and a strong female character. I tried to roll of these interests into one series.
The Remembering Raven books are a mix of romance, sex, longing, occult, and mystery. I also tried to create some really memorable supporting characters too, that I hope readers will enjoy.
Q – What order should I read the books in?
A – If you want to read the series in order, I’d suggest the following sequence:
– Cheyenne (Book 1)
– Always Mine (Prequel – although this can be read at anytime)
– Sabine (Book 2)

While visiting her grandmother, Myrtle spots an enchanting dark blue book sprinkled with stars, one of hundreds of books her grandmother owns. She’s thrilled when her grandmother gives her this special book, and at home that night she begs for extra time to read before lights out.
The book is about Star Land, a country on a far-away planet where star men have the job of placing twinkling stars in the sky each night. A strange noise interrupts the story of the search for a missing star, and then Myrtle hears a voice saying, “Help me.”
One of the star men is walking around on the pages of the book. Myrtle can’t believe her eyes. The room begins to spin, the walls disappear, and she soon finds herself in Star Land, a place where a jealous star man causes big trouble, the country’s true ruler is imprisoned in a castle, and the wicked witch who has seized control of Star Land wants Myrtle’s blood.
