Author Bio:

Cricket grew up in Estes Park, Colorado, and spent her formative years among deer, coyotes, and beautiful blue columbine. She could see snow-capped peaks in almost every direction. Living on the boundary of the Rocky Mountain National Park, Cricket could wander in by merely stepping out the backdoor of her childhood home.

Today she is a full-time author writing Sweet Romance, Westerns, Women’s Fiction, and Romantic Mysteries about cowboys, teachers, creative women, and the great outdoors—even Alzheimer’s. So far, there is a wonderful dog in each of her novels.

Before full-time writing, she was an actor, a singer, an audio/video producer, a classroom teacher, and principal. Cricket claims to be an eclectic reader and, therefore, an eclectic writer who loves to hike, cook, read, and write.

Colony’s Dawn by N. Joseph Glass

Colony’s Dawn by N. Joseph Glass

It’s a tranquil life in New Europa. Hopes to see beyond the domes lie in the terraforming project. Amid such optimism Gift and her friends start to suspect that something is wrong. Talks of conspiracies and lack of trust in leadership lead to sabotage. The foundations of society are questioned, and a group of everyday people face unthinkable challenges and choices.

This light sci-fi story centers on Gift Ojo, a 26-year-old with the joy and innocence of an adolescent. A Nigerian-Italian living in a colony where life is purposefully kept simple, and Gen-Maturity comes for most at about 30. Circumstance places her on a path, the hero’s journey you might say, to protect her colony and those she loves while desperately trying to maintain her values and virtues.

A story of everyday people becoming heroes. It has been described it as “a journey into the future and a new daily dimension… finding that the essence of life and its survival is grounded on feelings that are ever so important today as tomorrow… friendship, understanding, and care for others.”

Author Bio:

An Italian-American born in New York and living now in Milan, Italy. As a sci-fi fan I enjoy interesting stories that fire the imagination. I enjoy reading compelling stories and have taken inspiration to create characters and expound a story from being captivated by reading series such as Dune, Foundation, and The Expanse.

My journey to creative writing just happened. As ideas found their way into my mind, I began visualizing scenes and the people in them. As my mind added detail and depth I put my fingers to my keyboard and started writing. The creativity became a cherished hobby at first. Optimistic views of the future through art always interest me as I believe ours will be a bright one.
