Like many who end up being writers, I’ve worked at many different jobs: riding instructor, horse trainer, computer programmer, and medical transcriptionist.

I began my writing career in the early 1980s with articles for several national and regional horse magazines. My friend Hazel wanted to break into writing novels, so together we wrote three: A *Star Trek* novel; a rather spicy romance; and, finally a sweet romance called *April’s Christmas.*

April was the one who got us started when Avalon published that book in 1994. After that I sold my own first novel, the historical romance *Lady of Fire,* to Dorchester Publishing in 1995.

Today I am a full-time novelist, Kindle ghostwriter, and copy editor, and can often be found doing workshops and panels at writers’ events and conventions.

Dr. Nadel was born in Texas (July 11, 1953), and grew up in San Jose, California. He studied for two years Archeology and Anthropology. In 1973 he switched to Enology and Viticulture, receiving his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from UC Davis. He made aliyah to Israel to do his PhD in plant genetics at the Faculty of Agriculture, Hebrew University in Rehovot, which he received in 1981.

I moved to Colorado when I was 18 and I struggled deeply with depression, anxiety, and suicide contemplation following high school. I lost my sense of purpose and meaning and struggled to find myself in my latter adolescence. The most meaningful aspect of life that I found when I moved to Colorado was nature. The wilderness would eventually help me through the dark times of my life that included losing a friend to cancer, breaking my back, almost dying from the subsequent surgery complications, as well as several other transformative struggles I faced in early adulthood. I fought through the years of darkness and finally began to conceptualize my life, meaning, and purpose in ways that could bring light to other people's lives.My artistic journey began at the age of 20 when I started drawing superheroes, which progressed into painting the following year. During his Christian life, he has served in several leadership capacities like Sunday school superintendent, youth pastor, camp counsellor, college group leader, missions & evangelism director (local church). He also served on his denominational High School and Bible School boards.

From early childhood, he demonstrated a love for the two most popular outdoor sporting activities in his country, football and cricket as well as indoor gaming activities. Richardson is married to Libby and has one son, Calix whom he considers to be a miracle child having been born sixteen years after marriage.
