Hi! I am a graduate of the University College of London Medical School and currently work as a Family doctor. I currently live in San Diego, CA with my husband and three young musical and outer-space-loving kids. I have always had a passion writing children’s books and poems but there never seems to be enough time in the day!

I am divergent, as I have both a mathematical, computer-driven side, as well as a verbal, literature-driven side. Africa’s wildlife and spectacular landscapes captivated me when I lived there as a child. I found the elephants especially endearing. We were adventurous and kept all sorts of pets. Sara, our rescue serval cat, lived with us for several years. Our neighbours cared for an orphaned elephant calf and a cheetah cub after their mothers were taken by poachers.

We also lived in the UK and Turkey before emigrating to New Zealand, where I graduated from Vet School.

Do you like democracy or you like to be ruled?
When we talk about patriotism, we remember about the soldiers, freedom fighters, social reformers or singing patriotic songs and saluting the national flag. What is your definition of patriotism? Should a soldier die for the people who do not go for voting to elect their own representative to govern the country? Is patriotism necessary in the age of globalization? Is global peace possible now and in the future?
Who is the owner of a democratic country? In a kingdom, we say King is the supreme. But in democracy, is the prime minister or president replacing the position of King or Queen?
Have you seen any child begging on a street? What do you think, a child will remain a child forever?
What is your opinion about prisoners? Are the prisons correctional facilities or punishment chambers? Will a prisoner have a second life to rectify himself or, once a criminal, always a criminal?

If you could not study during your early age, then should you get a chance to study later in your life? Should there be any age limit for education?
What will happen if people accept corruption as normal?
Why does a person suicide? Yes, there might be 100 reasons, but every person having the same reasons does not suicide. Is suicide preventable?
Is patriotism good for humanity? People in the past have killed many people in the name of patriotism.
What is important for humans to live happily and safely? Money or life philosophy or food or respect or the survival of the fittest?

Although things might not take quantum leap overnight, but the journey should begin. People hesitate to take steps when the change required is huge. But somewhere it has to start. There are lot more things to discuss. This book covers major social issues and solutions in detail.

Greg Hickey started writing his first novel the summer after he finished seventh grade. He didn’t get very far because he quickly realized he preferred playing outside with his friends.

Eight years later, he began to find a better balance between writing and life. He wrote the early drafts of his first screenplay Vita during his last two years of college. Vita went on to win an Honorable Mention award in the 2010 Los Angeles Movie Awards script competition and was named a finalist in the 2011 Sacramento International Film Festival.
