Ivan was born and raised in California, US. His journey as an artist started in 2020 during the start of the pandemic. Stuck at home, Ivan became motivated to draw one day out of boredom. Through practice and hard work, Ivan was able to find his voice through a combination of art and the written word.

Another story imagines a scenario in which the mother/child bond is prohibited, and drastic measures taken to ensure its prevention. H.F. Galloway was born in June 1961. He grew up beside the Okeefenokee swamp park in Waycross Ga. For most of his summers he was on his granddad’s farm in the foot hills in the mountains of N.C.

At 18 H.F. joined the Air Force and became a fire protection specialist. He received an honorable discharge after 1 enlistment and moved to Atlanta Ga, where he was able to obtain an apprenticeship in learning how to repair appliances. From there he went from apartment maintenance, and then to big commercial buildings, one of which was working for 10 years at night shift for the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. That is where his stories were born.

I'm a logistician by day and a writer by night – or any spare time I can carve from daily duties as husband to my wife Samantha and father to my five-year-old son Leo.
It's been a relatively secret dream and aspiration to become an author, but there were two moments that ignited a spark to the dry kindling I had neglected for most of my life. In my late teens, a specific film was the first catalyst. I cannot recall what it was about, maybe it doesn't even matter, but it was sufficiently profound that it prompted the first draft of The Eternilim, which was then known as 'The Tower'. It burnt bright and hot and faded around 20,000 words – either due to inspiration dwindling or the inevitable intrusion of adult life.

The second spark came when I was thirty-four at a church service I attended some random Friday in Dubai. I spoke with an odd but friendly stranger, cannot recall his name, and can only remember we spoke about fishing or kayaking and water leaking from his roof – but after meeting him (the service itself may have had some influence), I knew the very next day I would restart the story that began so many years ago. And as I ventured down the road of obscure, wannabe writer, wrought with anxiety and self-doubt, I also rediscovered my passion for the craft and the fresh desire to share it with the world. So here we are, my poetry, early teen-years to today, sporadic essays and my once shy stories. I hope you enjoy their company as I have.

Born in Ukraine and going to school there, Lara went on for the next 20 years to the Kyzylkum Desert of the Republic of Uzbekistan, working at geological sites and expeditions of the Mining Industry. At that time Ukraine and Uzbekistan were parts of one country—the Soviet Union.

If you are a Baptist, Congregationalist, Methodist, Lutheran or another Christian denomination you are likely using a King James Bible whose roots go back to the Catholic monks hand copying – and the monks omitted whatever they were told by church officials that was in the “best interest” of the church. Embracing the adage “everyone has a story to tell,” I decided to throw my hat into the ring with my debut novel, Never Turn the Page Too Soon, the first book of my SHELF LIFE trilogy. The book is an adaptation of my award-winning animation screenplay titled SHELF LIFE, which introduces an underdog that everyone can relate to; one who redefines what it means to be a good book.

I began my writing career as a freelance writer for a local (now defunct) magazine in Houston, TX. During my early years, I discovered I had a knack for storytelling and soon found myself engrossed with learning the craft of screenwriting. However, despite winning and/or placing highly in notable screenplay competitions, I became disenchanted with the lack of opportunities granted to female and/or minority writers, so much so that in 2017, I decided to switch genres and adapt my award-winning screenplays into manuscripts for books which I fully intend to indie-publish.

I chose indie publishing over traditional publishing due to all the positive changes that have taken place in the publishing industry (including advancements in writing software and computer technology), creative beings like me no longer have to wait for an agent or publishing company to validate us as writers. Being an indie author means we’ll have to wear a lot of hats, but the reward is having creative control over those brainchildren we’ve spent years nurturing. What could be better than that?

The only advice I have for newbie writers who find themselves on the fence about whether to indie-publish or pursue traditional publishing, I believe it’s a judgment call we each have to make. There is a ton of responsibility involved. Besides, what works for me may not work for others.

If there’s any truth in the cliché, “write what you know,” do expect to read more stories of humor and hilarity, mystery and mayhem, action and adventure, and yes, maybe even a romance book or two. I’m a firm believer that no life experience should ever be wasted, so channel your passion, hone your skills, harness your creative energy, and birth that brain-child into existence!
