In 2019 he received an MFA degree (his third Master’s) from Queens University in Charlotte, in Creative Writing. 2nd Sight: Capturing Insight is one of four award-winning thrillers set in the South. His fifth novel will be released in January, 2022. Sharpton has also written nonfiction books, corporate, nonprofit and college curriculum, magazine articles and short stories. He currently lives outside beautiful Asheville, NC.
