  1. Smokescreen

    Smokescreen-Khaled-Talib1About Smokescreen:

t an ancient café in Cairo, two veteran spies plot a covert mission to resolve — once and for all — the Israeli – Palestinian conflict. The pledge: Israel will make a major concession as part of the peace treaty. In Singapore, Jethro Westrope, a magazine journalist, stumbles onto the scene of a murder: the beautiful Niki Kishwani directs him, in her last breath, to a digital recorder, evidence that puts Jethro’s life in serious danger. And, much worse, he is framed for Niki’s murder. Jethro sets out to find Niki’s killer and is drawn into a web of deception and intrigue involving officials from the Singaporean, Israeli, and American governments, each with a complex, competing, and potentially deadly agenda. Against this pulse-pounding backdrop, Jethro races to find answers and save himself —yet nothing is as it seems. He finds himself at the centre of a political plot so diabolical and sweeping in its world implications that he is stunned to discover tomorrow’s news headlines today. He is being set up not only as a murderer but as an assassin, and something much larger than his own fate is in his hands.

Another homicide has rocked the small town of Fallsburg, NY. In a cabin nestled deep in the woods two male victims are discovered, both gun shot victims. One is deceased the other one is barely alive. But it is not the murder itself that has detectives Jean Whitley and her new partner Marty Keal frantic to find out the answers of what occurred in that cabin, but it is the identities of the two small children also found at the scene. One child is quickly identified but the other a young boy remains a mystery. The only one with possible answers lies with the man who lay critically wounded and unconscious in the hospital because the unidentified boy either can not or will not speak to tell the investigators who he is and what happened in that cabin that left one man dead and another barely hanging on …

  4. After The Ending

    After-The-Ending-ebook-cover-OFFICIAL-redesigned-smallerAbout After The Ending:

The first book in the emotionally charged post-apocalyptic romance series: THE ENDING SERIES.

The Virus spread. Billions died. The Ending began. We may have survived the apocalypse, but the Virus changed us.

When people started getting sick, “they” thought it was just the flu. My roommate, my boyfriend, my family…they’re all gone now. I got sick too. I should have died with them–with the rest of the world–but I didn’t. I thought witnessing the human population almost disappear off the face of the earth was the craziest thing I’d ever experience. I was so wrong. My name is Dani O’Connor, I’m twenty-six-years-old, and I survived The Ending.

The Virus changed everything. The world I knew is gone, and life is backwards. We’ve all had to start over. I’ve been stripped of my home, my dreams…all that is me. I’m someone else now–broken and changed. Other survivors’ memories and emotions haunt me. They invade my mind until I can no longer separate them from my own. I won’t let them consume me. I can’t. My name is Zoe Cartwright, I’m twenty-six-years-old, and I survived The Ending.

We’ve been inseparable for most of our lives, and now our friendship is all we have left. The aftermath of the Virus has stranded us on opposite sides of the United States. Trusting strangers, making sacrifices, killing–we’ll do anything to reach one another. Fear and pain may be unavoidable, but we’re strong…we’re survivors. But to continue surviving in this unfamiliar world plagued by Crazies and strange new abilities, we have to adapt. We have to evolve.

And more than anything, we have to find each other.

    Author Bio:
LINDSEY FAIRLEIGH lives her life with one foot in a book–as long as that book transports her to a magical world or bends the rules of science. Her novels, from post-apocalyptic to time travel and paranormal romance, always offer up a hearty dose of unreality, along with plenty of adventure and romance. When she’s not working on her next novel, Lindsey spends her time walking through the vineyard behind her house and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. She lives in the Napa Valley with her husband and confused cats. www.lindseyfairleigh.com

LINDSEY POGUE has always been a little creative. As a child she established a bug hospital on her elementary school soccer field, wrote her first YA manuscript in high school, and as an adult, expresses herself through writing. Her novels are inspired by her observations of the world around her–whether she’s traveling, people watching, or hiking. When not plotting her next story line or dreaming up new, brooding characters, Lindsey’s wrapped in blankets watching her favorite action flicks or going on road trips with her own leading man. www.lindseypogue.com

  5. Dark Side of Sunset Pointe

DS-Catalogue-Cover-AmazonAbout Dark Side of Sunset Pointe:

4.28 out of 5 stars on Goodreads. Based on real life events, this hardcore Mystery/Thriller with a paranormal twist will keep you guessing.

“Kirkus Reviews…Scott crafts an intriguing hook and a sympathetic protagonist in a world that, while seemingly depraved and dark, is clearly recognizable and believable. A well-built mystery…”

A Paranormal Mystery – Lance Underphal was devastated by his wife’s death, and now, the down-and-out crime-scene photographer can’t let her go. He wakes up plagued by premonitions. The double shooting of an Arizona real estate developer and his mistress/bookkeeper immerse Underphal in a world of incomprehensible phenomena and it’s anything but pleasant.

Underphal struggles mightily with his psychic curse, teetering on the brink of insanity. His only hope for redemption is the voice in his head, the voice of his dead wife. Stumbling through dark vortexes of murderous intrigue, he comes to realize his visions will either kill him or lead to the capture of a killer-maybe more than one.

Author Comments – “Like a good movie, I want readers visualizing the mystery, living in the characters’ skins, savoring the story’s twists and turns, keeping them guessing until the end.”

    Author Bio:
Julie Frayn pens award-winning novels and short stories that pack a punch. And a few stabs. She has published three novels and two short, short story collections.

Julie’s first novel, Suicide City, a Love Story, won two gold medals in the 2013 Authorsdb cover contest. Her second, It Isn’t Cheating If He’s Dead, is the Books and Pals 2014 Readers’ Choice winner for women’s fiction, and she won honourable mention in the NYC Midnight 2014 short story challenge.

A proud Canadian, Julie calls the beautiful province of Alberta home. Though she’s grown up on the edge of the Rocky Mountains in a city with the unfortunate nickname “Cow Town” – she doesn’t ski, hates steak, and listens to good old rock and roll.

In grade school, Julie was a math whiz, loved to write stories and poems in English class, and had an artistic flair for pencil drawings and pen and ink pointillism. When it came time to choose a career, she was torn between three loves. Her artistic brain ached to create. But her practical side, and the need to eat, won out. She devoted her career to numbers. She counts beans by day, but still revels in the written word.

After years of writing on the down low, she finally came out as a full-fledged writer when she published her first novel in 2013. Suicide City, a Love Story began as a short story in 1998. That’s a pretty long incubation period! But with the first click of that publish button, she never looked back. She wrote and published two more novels in the next fifteen months, with a fourth well on the way.

When she isn’t working or writing, Julie spends as much time as possible with her two children (grown adults, really), while they still think she’s cool.

    Author Bio:
I’ve been making up stories in my head my whole life and am just grateful that when it came time to write them, they were already so complete that my biggest challenge was editing them!

Writing stories for those kids on the cusp of making life decisions is a passion of mine and always has been. If I can push just one struggling kid into taking the time to figure out who they really are, then I consider myself successful.

To quote Granddaddy Earl in my book, Ianto:

‘I think it’s fair to say that a person’s heart knows contentment when they can look back on the life they’ve acted out, the short or the long of it, the bad and the good in it, and not want to change much of anything. That’s a person who learned early on that they were born with a soul that already knows what its job is: to show a person their part in life and to make sure they got their lines down. That person recognizes their soul’s voice and knows to come when it calls. They understand that it will only call them to the people who can love them the most, and the work that will satisfy them the best.’
