   Author Bio:
   Dale Furse lives in North Queensland, Australia with her husband and sometimes-demented, three-legged dog, Zeus.

   Over the years, she has pursued her interests in creative outlets. She played guitar, wrote and performed songs in the band, ‘Eclipse’, for several years. Once theatre seized her imagination, she joined ‘Towers Players’, where she gained lead roles in plays, directed and of course, helped build the sets.

   Towers Players and Townsville Little Theatre produced and performed her play, co-written with Stella McMahon, The Shed.

   She has written novels, short stories, plays, songs and poems for over thirty years and she still enjoys her journeys to unknown places, meeting unheard-of peoples and/or beings.

2. The Sleeping Pool

   About The Sleeping Pool:

   Any African myth or legend is dismissible as a figment of someone’s imagination, someone long dead. Shaun discovers on a mission to Zimbabwe’s Chinhoyi Caves to locate his errant twin brother, Stan, nothing could be furthest from reality. Not all are fairy tales and not all are long dead.

   His world turns weirder each day. Mabo stalks him, claiming she’s from the tribe, declaring him dead. She acts crazy but peers vow she’s sane. Shaun discovers she’s neither. Natalie is haunted by nightmares of the pool that drive her into his arms and his heart. Paul, his guide, warns him of danger but is silenced by a flying spear. The underground tribe bays for blood – they don’t care whose blood.

   The secret of the caves is the key to his survival. But there’s only one way to find it – a suicidal dive into the pool. Failure means death for his brother and Natalie and victory for Daniel.
