  1. The Heart of Hannen: Book I in The Atriian Trilogy by Fawn Bonning

The-heart-of-hannen-posterAbout The Heart of Hannen: Book I in The Atriian Trilogy by Fawn Bonning:

    Only .99 on Kindle July 28-August 4

The Heart of Hannen is an epic tale of dark fantasy, erotic romance, and horror. It was recently awarded Runner-Up in the 2014 New York Book Festival under the category of romance.

Christine is a troubled teen with a dark past. She is miserable in her small town where she feels destined to live her life as an outcast.

She has no idea that her true destiny lies in a different town . . . and in a different world, a most brutal world called Atriia. There she will learn the true meaning of misery, the true meaning of loneliness and shame.

And in the arms of a most unlikely candidate, she will also learn the true meaning of love.

He is Hannen Fallier, the one they call the foul fraigen dropper, revered by men for his fearless feats, yet looked upon by women with open disdain. With a face horribly mauled, he hides behind a mask of shame, deeming himself unworthy of love.

That he would seek acceptance from Christine is irony in its purest form. That he would seek her love . . . the ultimate betrayal.

    **Mature subject matter**

**Warning – Enter Atriia at your own risk, but beware, it is not for the faint of heart. If you do decide to brave your way within, you will need the aid of the dictionary located at the back of the book.

    Author Bio:
Hello. My name is Fawn Bonning. I was born and raised in South Florida. At the age of forty, I packed up my things and moved to Tennessee where I now reside with my husband, four sons, and six dogs. Reading, writing, singing, eating, Japanese gardening, and bulb planting are a few of my favorite things to do.

I must warn you, I love horror, and this reflects in my writing. I grew up reading Stephen King and watching Creature Feature. My favorite series right now is The Walking Dead. Zombies, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, aliens, anything paranormal, I love it all. And I’m drawn to epic fantastic tales that put you in dark dystopian worlds where it is a challenge just to stay alive. The Stand, by Stephen King, is one of my favorite novels. Richard Adams’ Watership Down is another, and you will find my love of animals evident in my writing. I also love a good erotic romance, but was never able to find this in the horror novels that I loved so much. Thus the writer in me was born.

The Atriian Trilogy is dark, dystopian, fantasy fiction with a healthy dose of horror and a fair share of sensual erotic encounters that should satisfy any romance lover. Enter Atriia if you dare, but beware, it is not for the faint of heart.

Ava Lancet has lost her job, her marriage, and her baby when she discovers she has inherited her grandmother’s dilapidated farmhouse in a tiny village in central Greece. With the kind of emotional impulsiveness that has frustrated her stony-faced husband for years, she decides to move there and recover from life’s sorrows.

Soon Ava is discovering the surprising threads of her grandmother’s life, including her part in the local Resistance during World War Two and a forbidden love affair with a British SOE agent.

Spanning three generations and exploring the lives of two very different and yet surprisingly similar women, The Other Side of The Bridge will remind you how a fragile hope can spring from both tragedy and despair. 6. Rabbit: (a novel?)

rabbit book coverAbout Rabbit: (a novel?):

This book is finished, the author declares. But it is never finished.

Rabbit explores a young folklorist driving 4,000 miles, collecting ghost stories and meeting his homeless schizophrenic father for the first time. Our narrator is attempting to finish his book, pausing the story to debate with his frustrated editor. The manuscript is unraveling as he approaches its end. Rabbit is a meta-fiction literary novel depicting a young writer’s obsessions with our cosmos, estranged parents, abuse, and infidelity. It is an angst-riddled ride through the American subconscious of the twenty-first century.

Meeting his father was not the ending he expected. It was the beginning of his darkest descent.

Jared John Smith submitted his first query letter at the age of fifteen. He wrote several books, operated a blog, and graduated from a university with an acronym entitling him to say, “I majored in English Literature.”

After a failed pitch attempt to a round of agents at a literary conference, he set out on a road trip to meet his homeless father. This trip fueled another novel. Renda Dodge of Pink Fish Press had kept herself updated on Jared’s blog after becoming familiar with his meticulous prose from a previous pitch. Renda requested “Rabbit” which had so far faced handfuls of rejections. Finished reading it, she contacted him immediately to sign the novel into contract. “Rabbit” editor, Marissa Bea, knew what Jared was aiming for–that careful teetering along the edge between fiction and memoir. Their strong author/editor bond resulted in the book’s fictional characters, J and M.

Jared performs with the Portland Foul Weather Writers and can be found diving into his journal just about anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. Rabbit is his first published novel. He is busy writing the next six.

I have been writing off and on since childhood. My first story was written at the age of eight. ‘The Mist of Dawnwood’ was set in a spooky forest in England, where the animals who lived there hadn’t seen natural daylight for years, and longed to find a way to free themselves from this bleak way of living.

I have moved on since then, and started writing ‘The Blaisdell Chronicles’ a couple of years ago. ‘In the Shadows’ is the first in the series. I have long been a fan of the Regency era, and wanted to write a book based on that, but aimed at the YA market.

Last year, I won a competition set by literary consultant Claire Wingfield. I had to complete an exercise based on an article in her ’52 Dates for Writers’ guide book.

An unstoppable extinction level event (ELE) approaches the Earth. This impending disaster emanates from within our own solar system, yet to be formally identified by astronomers, is the vast planet named Ark. The 3400 year orbital path of this colossal Earth-like celestial body maintains catastrophic potential which is capable of destroying human life as we know it. For a privileged few, preparations have been under way for many years to save their own lives, the rest of us will perish. In a race against time to save as many as possible humans and alien races work both for and against each other, as a complex web of deceit and mistrust unfolds, to save or “use” as many humans as they can.

Centering on a variety of interconnected characters the book paints an intricate and personal picture of each, driven to great lengths, with their frantic actions demonstrating the challenging and dire state of Earth. Two such characters are those of Geoff and Spike, standing at 7 foot tall, green skinned, yet human looking, these Eridanian’s are equipped with telepathic capability and an understanding of incredibly advanced technology. It is a vile breeding ground where humans are grown from embryos previously extracted from Terran mothers without their knowledge. Parents are pre-selected for high IQ, impeccable health records and a stable socio-political background, creating a new race of super humans who will inherit the earth after ELE.

As the tension rises and natural disasters increasingly announce the impending doom, an unlikely hero emerges, whose survival is crucial for the future of mankind. Brian, must swiftly learn that society as he knows it is all a lie. He must put aside all that he has learned and prepare for a new future, but first he must secure the future of those he loves….

    Author Bio:
Hello, from a very early age I was fascinated by the possibility of life elsewhere and the almost incomprehensible size of the universe. Among the most significant books I read were those by Erich von Däniken. This led to reading books on ancient history and the possibility of previous visitations to Earth by other civilizations. With thirty five years of research on the topic I decided the time was right to write a book on the subject. However, I wanted to do something different than just write about all the data as this has been done before. I felt it would be a good idea to write the sort of book that I wanted to read as a Science Fiction story instead. The result is ARK. It is my intention to write a trilogy of books with this being the first in the series called the Arkan People of Earth (APE). I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it. I have a PhD in Chemistry and lecture in Maths and Chemistry in the South West of England where I live with my lovely wife and two beautiful daughters.
