I have these flashes of memory, like we’ve met before. I don’t know who those memories belong to, but they can’t be mine.

   My best friend Angie couldn’t be happier about the situation. She thinks my single status is criminal. Hey, I’ve got a lot on my plate. There’s no time for normal teenage dating. Let’s talk about those giant, cat-like assassins sent to slice my head off or the fact that I’ve been reincarnated. Maybe we should discuss the source of my healing powers being tied to warring gods and the veil between life and death or my mixed emotions concerning sweet Victor and complicated Tie. I’m determined to choose my own destiny, but I have to do that before I lose everyone I love to an ancient Japanese prophecy.

   And I still need to finish this stupid homework.
