   Born into a blue-collar family in Liverpool, England, Pete missed The Beatles but did go to The Cavern a few times. He immigrated to the US in the early 90s and became a citizen. After twenty years in the corporate madhouse, he moved to Western North Carolina where he lives with a couple llamas, two spoiled dogs, a brace of cookie-eating goats, one ferocious cat, and a wonderful wife who thankfully understands his obsessive need to write fiction.

   Author Bio:
   Raised in the San Francisco East Bay, Andrea’s lofty goals were to get married, have a half dozen kids and live happily ever after. When it didn’t work the first time she tried again. After three marriages in 40 years and raising three kids she decided to go for something easier; becoming a famous author.

   After writing classes and years of practice, she landed a job as a columnist. After two weeks the dream of syndication and being as loved as Erma Bombeck fell by the wayside. Financial cutbacks had given her the shortest stint in history as a columnist. Although her editor praised her talents and told her to keep at it, she got sidetracked with kids, taking out the trash, doing the dishes and managing a houseful of pets while working to pay the bills.

   One day she woke up and realized the kids were grown, her husband was boring and life would pass her by if she didn’t get her size 14 butt in gear.

   The first of her humorous books for women, “Aging with Humor and Grace” is full of funny short stories, anecdotes and the embarrassing moments of this funny lady and won it’s first award just three months after it was published. Book two, “Put Down the Damn Toilet Seat” is parenting humor and it’s release date is September 23, 2014. Two other books are in the works as well. While there are no official titles as of yet, she calls one “The Man Book” and swears payback is bliss and “Go Ahead, Everyone Else Does” about the life and times of a doormat.

   When asked about starting a writing career after 50 and sharing her hilarious family stories, here’s what she had to say. “First, I’ve been writing stories for at least 40 years; they simply weren’t published. Now it’s time to publish my newest ones. You know, it’s not over till the fat lady sings. I figure I have a while to go since I haven’t found those 40 pounds I lost and I can’t carry a tune to save my life.”
