- How To Guarantee Great Customer Experience Every Time: Restaurant Version
About How To Guarantee Great Customer Experience Every Time: Restaurant Version:Why Simply Serve Customers When You Can Create Raving, Big Tipping Fans?
Your customers are just friends and fans waiting to happen! Unfortunately the way you have been trained to approach each table keeps the “customer / server” relationship in tact instead of morphing into a great relationships for both you and your customers!
Believe it or not Everyone loses with this scenario!
When the customer views you as an anonymous employee and stranger, they are much more apt to be critical not only of the service you provide but also the things that are beyond your control.
The critical customer leaves, never to return, you and the business suffer on top of the guest feeling he has dissatisfied. This is a lose, lose lose.
Now, if the customer connected with you and you connected in return, your slight service flaws would be much less noticeable and your true personality would overshadow any large problems that might arise. Unfortunately, ‘Would you like sparkling or flat water?” will never open the door to that great relationship.

“Can I start you off with an appetizer?” will not have your guest coming back tomorrow and asking to be sat in your section will it.As a server trying to make the most money in the most efficient way possible, you should make sure that all of your good customers are coming back and asking for you. They are easier to wait on, you already know their preferences, they are much more forgiving when things go wrong and they are more likely to refer friends and colleagues to you personally. All this amounts to much more money more efficiently so these are the aspects of the job you should be cultivating.
Lets face it your boss has been understandably focused on his business and getting the most products sold, not on opening doors and creating relationships for you. So the words and phrases you have been trained to use are those that sell food for him not create buying relationships for you.
In the past two years, yes it has only been two years, the world has literally turned upside-down in it’s thinking and now “sharable,” connective, reciprocal experiences are expected not the exception. Experiences that benefit everyone involved are now being sought after throughout every buying experience and greedy self-centered businesses are not viewed in the same light.
Unfortunately you are probably still being trained and managed by people with the same mindset of of three years ago because small businesses don’t have the resources or even time to keep up with current social trends.

What I love most after writing and family is destination travel. I love going to a new place, living among the natives and absorbing the culture and the language. I prefer an agoraphobic lifestyle, but hit the road anyway. And Boy have I had some adventures! I learned to read, write and speak Spanish, but once on a runaway horse, I kept yelling Whoa! Stop! The dang thing did not understand a word of English. We parted company, me on my bohunkus and the horse to pick his way down a mountain to a cornfield. I enjoy writing sweet romance novels. I wrote for Harlequin for more than fifteen years. Life events got in the way of my writing career for a while, but with the advent of ebooks, I plunged into the indie author universe. I love it. Fans visit me on Facebook and Twitter and I get to know them, see pictures of their new babies and pets, try their recipes–a perfect way to connect!Finding Home by Jackie Weger is a post from Awesome Gang

- The Child (Alien in the Delta Series)
About The Child (Alien in the Delta Series):Sex with our High School Teachers (excerpt from The Child)
Several of my teachers in high school were young women who had just finished ‘teachers’ training. Ours was the first class they had taught for a full school year. The young teachers were about six years older than their students.
Sex was a frequent topic of discussion with our young teachers. Are you still a virgin? Have you ever had sex? Do you enjoy sex? Do you use protection? How often do you and your girlfriend have sex? The young female teachers asked the boys these types of questions. All of the boys thought it was cool having this kind of personal relationship with our young female teachers.
Some of the young women teachers gave private sex lessons to the more mature male students. I was not advanced or mature enough to be given lessons, but we had lots of personal contact and inappropriate discussions with our young female teachers.
Was what we did with our teachers wrong or harmful? I don’t believe that I suffered any emotional or psychological harm because of the inappropriate behavior of our young female teachers. However, I am in therapy.
“The Child” is the first book in the Alien in the Delta series. It highlights the life of a boy from the age of six until he graduates from high school at age seventeen. During that time he discovers girls, sex music, dance, and becomes self-aware.
