   Towards the end of 2013 a manuscript in a plain white envelope, bearing no return address, was delivered to our door.

   THE JESUS CURE read the title page, written by Ron T. Deloy. Intrigued, we read the book and immediately decided to publish it. Its fascinating mix of biblical knowledge with modern psychiatry – put together with the contemporary existential dilemma made it an easy decision. Where we are offered so many medical ‘answers’ in today’s confusing world, an anti-hero who trusts in the power of love as a healing principle, who wills his own self-betterment and who relies on the kindness of strangers is inspiration indeed. Plus a genuine love story never goes amiss.

   Ron T. Deloy did not wish to meet in person, and we have conducted all our communication over the Internet. He came across as a highly intelligent man who had researched his subject well. Revealing that he had cooperated with scholars and experts in the three fields of religion, spirituality and psychiatry, it was the fact that two close friends of his suffered from manic depression and schizophrenia that inspired him to write the book. He felt that they were misunderstood and constantly struggling for recognition.
