- The Father Christmas Freak Out! by Rat Johnson
About The Father Christmas Freak Out! by Rat Johnson:THREE VERY STRANGE THINGS ARE HAPPENING THIS CHRISTMAS…
1) Father Christmas is TAKING presents back rather than leaving them under the tree.
2) Rudolph is wearing dark sunglasses, and
3) Children are flying to the North Pole, mind-your-own-business class…
Freddy and Fidelia are about to meet a different kind of fat man in a red suit. A Santa thrown out of his own secret Grotto by mysterious and faceless forces… a Father Christmas fighting to keep the true spirit of December the 25th alive.
Will they help him?
Heartfelt and hilarious, Spike Milligan meets Scrooge, THE FATHER CHRISTMAS FREAK-OUT! is another smash hit for children from Rat Johnson & Pops Potter.
Actually, it’s their first smash hit. It’s the funniest D-book (D for dangerous) uploaded to Amazon in the last 47 minutes. It’s Star Wars only without the boring bits and all those tricky casting issues. It’s a Noel-themed hostage crisis for naughty children of all ages… but mainly for children of, y’know, child-like ages.

Rat Johnson did not start out life as an award-winning writer of children’s books. After his family were chased out of their sewer by Pest Control, they boarded Flight UH-OH19 for a new life abroad, but the plane crashed and only a young Ratty J survived.Freezing on the mountain tops of Socoldonia, he was taken in and brought up by a pack of Arctic Wolves… who happened to be on a skiing holiday in the area at the time.
As a teenager, Rat took an interest in the usual wolf activities: running in packs, howling, and amateur nature photography. Yet it soon became clear, largely due to his lack of fur and fangs, that he was no ordinary wolf. Indeed, despite his adoptive Mother’s protests, after winning a scholarship to WERE(Wolf) University, he was disqualified from entering the school on the grounds he made too many squeaking noises.

- Christmas Musings by Margery Kisby Warder
About Christmas Musings by Margery Kisby Warder:Christmas Musings (225 pages)is both an eBook and softcover entitled “Christmas Musings”. There are three sections within this book (Christmas in Our Hearts, Last Christmas, and Mary, Meet Dr. Luke).
Christmas in Our Hearts has a collection of Christmas writings. If you’ve peeked into the attic to see if Christmas morning was going to be what you expected, well, then you might want to see what the author learned by peeking. If you’ve unwittingly risked your life trying to master the towrope on your first day on skis, then perhaps you, too, have flown across the rope and not the slope! If you’ve been awed by the beautiful, silent way God can bring Christmas to hearts, and to the landscape, you might like pausing for those reflections, too. Sometimes Christmas comes in carol to a shut-in, and sometimes to an affluent newlywed couple who are hoping to make their first Christmas memorably perfect. And if you like the thoughts expressed through informal, imperfect poetry and prose that rhymes, then look into those writings, too. And should you be panicking because you really do still need a simple three-person script for Christmas Eve, there’s the one about Mary, Joseph, and the Shepherd. This, and more awaits in “Christmas in Our Hearts”…
Last Christmas is a short story about a young father/husband whose drive for success has refocused his life, and Christmas is not a priority. On top of that, Carol has persuaded him once again to leave warm Houston and spend Christmas in snowy Maine with her family. There, a disgruntled Tom overhears a conversation he realizes he should have had with Carol, and he storms off to the woods to have it out with God. This Christmas is bound to be different than any he’s ever had before, and very different than he ever anticipated. Readers say you need a tissue as you follow these characters…
Mary, Meet Dr. Luke is offered because scholars tell us it’s likely the physician, who wrote both Luke and Acts in the New Testament, interviewed eyewitnesses to verify what he believed God was asking him to write. This story lets us eavesdrop of Mary and Luke’s conversation the night the physician stops by the home of John, the disciple who cares for Mary. Mary recalls the awkward beginnings of her becoming the mother of Jesus and of the impact the life, and death, of Jesus had upon her.
Christmas Musings is the “big” book, but it’s sections are also available separately as eBooks online.
Margery Kisby Warder is also the author of “Leaves That Did Not Wither”. That novel follows a couple from Victorian England to rural Michigan, just in time for the Civil War. Many of the incidents in that novel are based upon the lives of the author’s Great-grandparents. It, too, can be downloaded.

Goodreads Profile PageAuthor Bio:
Margery Kisby Warder has been writing ever since she got a hold on a pencil! Her first script was on her parents’ living room wall, so that didn’t get the reviews she was hoping for, but her dad was a storyteller and her mom loved to write, too, so it was not traumatic. Besides, she grew up in the security of a loving home, so the corrections she received in life were ‘measured’, not angry.Margery’s actual writing “career” adapted to her first passion for the Lord and for the blessings He granted in a husband and family. Often her creativity helped create materials for use in her husband’s ministry and her involvement in both the church and community wherever they lived.
However, when she turned sixty, she quit her best-paying job and devoted time to writing. She was hired to write columns and features for two newspapers and began work on her novel, “Leaves That Did Not Wither”. “Leaves…” follows Esther from Victorian England to rural Michigan in time for the Civil War, into which her husband enlists. A sequel is in nearly finished form.
Now, in time for Christmas, Margery has written short stories and other materials to help enrich the celebration of Christmas. She hopes none of her writing ever wastes her time, or the time her readers spend on it. Enjoy!
Reviews welcome!
