   Author Bio:
   Casey Tucker (Pappy)

   As a teen in the “80′s” (the beginning of the era of excess) in southern Ohio, much of his youth revolved around athletics. After college Casey pursued a career as a high school and college football coach until entering the financial services industry in 1997. He relocated to Minnesota in 1999 to eventually make Nanan his bride. He continued a career in the financial services industry until the bottom dropped out of the economy in 2008. Casey currently works in business, writes our eNewsletter, manages our Facebook Fan Page, and maintains the website. In his “spare time” he can be found honing his knowledge and skills on all things Sorta Off The Grid. He is the proud step-father to two sons, a father-in-law, and referred to as “Pappy” by the 3 grandchildren who light up his heart. Casey’s other interest include reading, boating, hunting, fishing, cooking, puppy dogs, photography and any skills he can acquire on self-reliance.

   Lynn Rogers (Nanan)

   As a “70′s Child” Lynn did what she could as a preteen and teenager during the dawning of the “Save the Environment” movement…which means not much at all. Other than “protesting” the disruption of the prairie dogs during an expansion project at her junior high (cute, huh?) she was basically a spectator. In the 80′s as a young stay-at-home mom and wife she was committed to putting healthy, made from scratch meals on the table. She sewed, knitted, made quilts – basically anything she could do using her hands. Things changed dramatically in the 90′s when Lynn re-entered the job force as a single mom. Working full-time with two young sons, she put aside a lot of the skills she was developing simply because of lack of time. Her career demanded well over 40 hours a week, so any free time she had was spent with her boys – not making her own pasta. Now she’s come full circle. Her kids are grown, and even though she still puts in a lot of hours in the office, she loves the time she’s spending with Pappy, dusting off some old, long forgotten skills and learning plenty of new ones to help take them Sorta Off the Grid. She’s excited to share their journey with you.

   L.K. Campbell has been writing for most of her life. Her professional writing career began with a weekly newspaper column called Scenes from Real Life. She wrote this column for her hometown newspaper for four years.
