   David Chill is the author of two novels, Post Pattern and Fade Route, featuring Burnside, a private investigator and former college football star. Post Pattern was a finalist in the St. Martin's Press contest for new private eye mystery writers. Both novels have received critical acclaim and both have spent time on the Amazon best seller lists for mystery novels. David Chill lives in Los Angeles, where he earned a Masters degree from the University of Southern California. He is a big supporter of the USC Trojan football team.

3. Burden of Breath
   

   Ann Minnett grew up in Denver and considered the Rocky Mountains as home. However, she spent the following decades in Dallas working as a Developmental Psychologist and Program Evaluator for social service agencies. She conducted research in child and family development and was affiliated with The University of Texas–Dallas, as researcher, lecturer and Adjunct Associate Professor. In that time Ann collaborated on one self-help book and published research reports in the fields of Education, Psychology, and Program Evaluation. Meanwhile, she quietly wrote stories for pleasure and self-expression. Ann is a mother of two, grandmother to one, and now lives with her husband in the Salish Mountains of NW Montana with views of the Whitefish and Swan Ranges – not to mention distant peaks of Glacier National Park – out her back door. She’s set aside her research career to incorporate what she learned into her fiction. Most recently, Ann published her first novel, Burden of Breath, and a short story entitled “Offerings” appeared in the Summer 2013 issue of Sixfold, an online journal.

5. Midwinter Masquerade by Romy Gemmell
   

   Rosemary Gemmell’s short stories and articles are published in UK magazines, in anthologies, in the US, and online and she has won several short story prizes. She lives in the beautiful west cost of Scotland and is now a published novelist for adults (as Romy) and Middle Grade/tweens (as Ros) with three different e-publishers. Her BA (hons) in literature and history and MA in Humanities are put to good use in reading and research for all types of writing. Historical full length novel, Dangerous Deceit, is published with Champagne Books, Canada. Short contemporary novella, The Aphrodite Touch, and new full length historical, Midwinter Masquerade, are published by Irish company, Tirgearr Publishing. Summer of the Eagles and The Jigsaw Puzzle are tween/Middle Grade short novels published by MuseItUp Publishing, Canada. As an experiment, she self-published a collection of some of her previously published short stories, Reshaping the Past, to Kindle, followed by Victorian novella, Mischief at Mulberry Manor. Rosemary is a member of the Society of Authors, the Romantic Novelists’ Association, and the Scottish Associations of Writers. She describes herself as a butterfly writer because of all the different genres and types of writing she enjoys, and loves to share information with other writing groups. Whenever possible, she loves to dance!
