She grew up in New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1999 to escape the cold winters. Living in the Sunshine State fueled her creativity, but somehow her characters always find themselves in Jersey. A.L. Jambor has been married for over thirty-five years to Hans, a retired baker. Their have two sons and four grandchildren. Hans is extremely supportive of A.L's endeavors. He, like other members of her family, has appeared in her books. Kevin Chandler and The Case of the Missing Dogs was written for pre-teens, but adults will enjoy it, too.
