Where Awesome Book Readers Meet Awesome Writers
- Babyface Fire
Nicholas Andrews grew up in Dayton, Ohio. After graduating from Bellbrook High School in 2000, he went on to attend both Ohio University and Wright State University. He worked as a freelance video editor for various independent pro wrestling companies for three years, before returning to his first love of writing. He has been writing stories since he was ten years old. He is also the nephew of Ted Andrews (1952-2009), award winning new age author. - For What Is Sacred
I was born in the Midwest, struggled working my way through college and kept a jump ahead of the draft board by joining a Naval Reserve Officer Corps program. The net result was that in the summer of 1968 I graduated from college, got married and went onto active duty. My Naval Intelligence career began in Washington, D.C., where we remained for the next thirty-six years. After a brief tour of active duty, I stayed in the reserves and pursued duel careers as a Naval Reserve Intelligence officer, and national intelligence technical analyst working for Naval Intelligence, the National Security Agency, Central Intelligence Agency and Defense Intelligence Agency. Until 2007 my writing was confined to technical documents, position papers and contract proposals, not exactly the stuff of fiction. My urge to write fiction was kept on the “back burner” until my retirement in 2007, when looking for something to do with my time I was inspired by a proposal by the state of North Carolina to build a deep-sea port between a nuclear power plant and a nuclear arms depot. It struck me that this scenario presented an ideal target for terrorist action. The next six years were devoted to research and honing my fiction writing skills and my first book was born. I currently write for a local magazine in St. James, North Carolina, Cat-Tales, and I am working on my next books. - The Prince’s Man by Deborah Jay
Deborah Jay writes fantasy and urban fantasy featuring complex, quirky characters and multi-layered plots – just what she likes to read. Living mostly on the UK South coast, she has already invested in her ultimate retirement plan – a farmhouse in the majestic, mystery-filled Scottish Highlands where she retreats to write when she can find the time. She has a dream of a day job, riding, training and judging competition dressage horses and riders, and also writes books and magazine features on the subject under the name Debby Lush. Her taste for the good things in life is kept in check by the expense of keeping too many horses, and her complete inability to cook. A lifelong fan of science fiction and fantasy, she started writing her first novel aged eight, and has never stopped. Her debut novel, epic fantasy THE PRINCE’S MAN, first in a trilogy and winner of a UK Arts Board award, is now available from most ebook retailers, and her Urban Fantasy (first in a series) DESPRITE MEASURES, the tale of a Scottish water sprite trying to live as a human, is due out for Christmas 2013. - The Mommy MD Guide to Losing Weight and Feeling Great
