Where Awesome Book Readers Meet Awesome Writers

  1. Gisborne: Book of Knights
I was born in Australia and studied history and politics at the University of Tasmania. I've worked as a hotel cleaner, a cosmetician in a major department store, a bookseller but most properly as a journalist/researcher for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation where I met my husband, also a journalist. We now farm in Tasmania, growing the superfine wool for which Australia is famous. I spent almost ten years as a coordinator for the cancer therapy program Look Good Feel Better and time as a walker for Riding for the Disabled and for the local Dogs' Home. I have two adult children, two dogs, too much garden and maybe too little time to write. I write both historical fiction for which Gisborne: Book of Pawns received an Honourable Mention in the 2012 Golden Claddagh Writing Contest, and historical fantasy for which A Thousand Glass Flowers received a silver medallion in the 2012 Readers' Favorite Book Awards.
  2. HIM by Clint Gleason
Born in Seattle, Washington, Clint Gleason graduated from the Los Angeles Film School with a major in directing. After serving 3 years in the United States Army, he began turning his short film and movie ideas into fiction. When he isn't working on his Vraniga series, he's preparing summaries, jotting down ideas, recording ideas in the middle of the night, writing that first draft, or immersed in editing and rewrites. Questions? Comments? Contact Clint Gleason at leanandmeanreads@yahoo.com
  3. Gisborne: Book of Pawns by Prue Batten

  4. When Good Friends Go Bad by Ellie Campbell
We are Lorraine Campbell and Pam Burks, two sisters separated by the Atlantic Ocean and now connected as co-authors of Ellie Campbell, an excuse for endless phone conversations. Our books How To Survive Your Sisters and When Good Friends Go Bad are published by Arrow in the UK and rest of the world and through Amazon in the USA, along with our third novel, Looking For La La . We are equally passionate about writing, travel, horses, dogs, the outdoors, and although Pam now lives in Reigate, not far from London, with a husband, three children and a dog, while Lorraine is on a small Colorado ranch near wild and wonderful Boulder with husband, three horses, five cats, one dog and four chickens - we both believe in enjoying life to the fullest, be it digging up carrots in the allotment, listening to audio books while scooping manure in the corrals or going on a trail ride in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
  5. Lynna’s Rogue
Kitty Margo was a former hairstylist, secretary, seamstress and phlebotomist before venturing into the ranks of the self employed with a commercial cleaning company. This allowed her the free time to pursue writing. She has four books available now and is close to finishing her fifth. She is a Twilight fanatic who frequently dreams of being bitten by Edward Cullen. Hey, he's a vampire so the 30 year age difference doesn't even matter! Visit her at kittymargo.com.
  6. The Dream Jumper’s Promise by Kim Hornsby
A former Maui SCUBA instructor, Kim used to swim with sharks and cavern dive in the Hawaiian Islands. She once took Steven Tyler snorkeling. Now she writes books from her house overlooking a lake in the Seattle area. In the summer months she hikes and water skis, and in the rainy, winter months, she writes about kiss-ass protagonists who aren't afraid to go after their dreams. As the mother of two gorgeous kids, Kim feels a great need to escape once in awhile and is a strong advocate of women's fiction, romance and avoiding house work. The Dream Jumper's Promise is Kim's second novel, the first Necessary Detour is published with The Wild Rose Press. Her third will be out at the end of 2013-- The Need for Something Sweet.
