Where Awesome Book Readers Meet Awesome Writers
- The Guilty by Gabriel Boutros
Gabriel Boutros spent 24 years as a defense attorney in Montreal, and he has used his years of experience and his observations of human weaknesses and strengths in writing his first full-length novel, The Guilty. He has previously published two short-stories, neither of which had anything to do with the law. He lives with his wife and two sons, and, when he's not working or writing, he's a rabid fan of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team. - Up in Flames
Tory Richards is a daughter, mother, aunt, sister, friend and grandma who writes smut. For as long as she can remember she’s wanted to be a writer. And she did write, for many years, as a hobby. It took the encouragement and support of her family before she submitted to a publisher. And the rest, as they say, is history. Her first book under her real name, Cupid’s Arrow, was on the publisher’s best seller’s list for two consecutive months! Tory likes to travel, collect art and antiques. She loves chocolate, who doesn’t? And her weakness is sweet ice tea. Well, just one of many. She also likes good coffee. Her favourite food? Any kind of sandwich. Tory was born in Maine but has spent most of her life in Florida. She lives with her daughter and her family, and shares her woman-cave with four furry felines. Writing is still a hobby for Tory, but since she’s retired from Disney she has plenty of time on her hands for plotting and promoting. But family always comes first. Tory loves to hear from readers so don’t be a stranger. Interesting Facts: Tory was on a plane on 9/11 Tory won a school spelling bee in sixth grade Tory was a twin Tory once raced a car 110 miles an hour - The Rescue Team
Dr. Billi Tiner has been a veterinarian for over 10 years. She lives with her husband and two children in Missouri. Dr. Tiner loves animals and has three dogs and three cats of her own. She uses her experiences as a veterinarian as inspiration for her books. All of her books are about animals and told from the animal's point of view. Dr. Tiner's is the author of Welcome Home (2012 Next Generation Book Award finalist), Heart of a Hero, Friends for Life, and The Rescue Team. - Willowtree, by Mike Bove
Mike Bove taught in Vermont public schools until moving to Cape Cod in 1978. He coached soccer and track. He was involved in many productions in college and community theater. As drama director at Rutland (VT) High School, he adapted a Russian folk tale for the stage, produced and directed it. Mike joined the Postal Service while living in Eastham, on Cape Cod. He became an avid fisherman and golfer, and served as a town recreation director. After their sons moved to New Orleans and New Jersey, Mike and his wife, Jane moved to Sedona, AZ . He retired from the Postal Service in 2010. Always a big reader, Mike now had more time for it and read insatiably, one mystery (mostly) after another. At this time his favorites were Stuart Woods, Willam G. Tappley, and Harlen Coben. He began re-reading works of his still favorite author, Kurt Vonnegut. Mike had written articles for his college newspaper, and edited the yearbook. He editorialized on his own website for postal workers. He had previously entertained thoughts of writing a book, but maybe one for youth about drama or track and field. He sat one day and, as Louis L'Amour quipped, 'turned on the faucet.' The result was "Willowtree," With encouragement from friends and family, the manuscript was worked over a great deal and published in 2011.
