- The Sky Between Two Worlds - 2013-03-28 01:56:24-04
I am a retired attorney living in New Jersy with my famil and two delightfull, over-enthusiastic dogs. I have been a science fiction fan since the days of Amazing Stories. Although I have spent a number of decades writing about scientific matters, this novella is my first work of fiction, two years in the writing. I am a graduate of MIT (Physics), Columbia University (Law) and Rutgers University (Mathematics and Biology). I spent much of my career at Bell Telephone Laboratories, helping researchers patent their inventions. Non-professional activities have included intercollegiate debating at MIT and later, Judo and fencing.

- Saving Ben - 2013-03-28 03:04:45-04
I'm a wife and mother of two teenagers. I have lived in Richmond, Virginia, for seventeen years, a city I love for its history and traditions. Personal experience with my brother inspired me to become involved with the leadership symposium in my son’s school where I’ve helped bring in speakers to raise parents’ awareness of the alcohol and drug problems children face. When I’m not steering volunteer committees or working on my next novel, I can be found swimming laps or playing tennis.
- What Foreigners Need To Know About America From A To Z: How to understand crazy American culture, people, government, business, language and more. - 2013-03-28 06:47:50-04
Born and raised in America, Lance Johnson has long been fascinated with the history and culture of America and foreign countries and how they differ. Having visited 49 of the 50 U.S. states and traveled in 82 countries, he’s learned among other things that the Black Sea, Red Sea, and the Blue Danube do not reflect those colors, and that Iceland might better be called Greenland and vice versa. He’s also learned how America and its people are perceived abroad both correctly and incorrectly. And how America’s perception of the rest of the world can vary, too. A student of cultural differences, his travels also allow him to explore the difficulties foreigners face understanding American ways and language, and how that affects their success in dealing with us., either in the US or abroad. He consults, teaches, and conducts seminars about the subjects in this book. He has an Ivy League graduate business degree and has studied at Oxford University in England. He is also a playwright and actor. His American heroes include American visionary presidents Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Teddy Roosevelt, and inventor Thomas Edison, all of whom had significant roles in the development of America and its culture as we know it today. Equally important on his list are those foreigners who came to America and despite overwhelming discrimination, sacrifice, and deprivation contributed to the rich history of the early settlement of America. The legacy of all these immigrants resides throughout America today. Equation of life: Knowledge + Understanding +Acceptance = A Better World for All. - Lance Johnson

- The Dark Rider - 2013-03-29 02:54:26-04
Born in Kent, England in 1974, I have always been in love with the landscape and nature and, since I was a teenager, always harboured a secret desire to be a writer (although my professional career has spanned spells in finance, environmental campaigning and professional photography!). I began writing 'The Dark Rider' at the age of 14, the first scenes coming out in one go in the half light of a long summers evening. These are scenes which, with a little editing in the intervening period, still make up the bulk of Chapter One. However, the rest took a little bit more time and it was only a couple of years ago when I realised that, if I didn't actually sit down and write the book, it would not happen. 'The Dark Rider' is the result.

First and foremost I am a father and a husband. I work full time as a civilian employed by the US army, and have also been known as a welder, electrician, carpenter, roofer, writer, painter, CNC machinist, and amongst many other things a romantic. I also belong to the eternal fraternal brotherhood of the United States Marine Corps, having served 8 years that showed me a much broader perspective of the world at large serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, The war on Terrorism, and the humanitarian effort in Liberia. I currently live in southern Louisiana with my wife and children, though I grew up in Michigan, graduating high school in Mason MI. I also spent time living in North Carolina, Florida, and California during my time in the United States Marine Corps. I have always dreamed of publishing my work, and seeing it on a bookshelf in a store, however with the huge shift to digital media I finally realized that the dream was in my own hands. I tell my children that they can live their dreams, and I believe in leading by example. I enjoy writing across several different genres from poetry, to children's stories, to full epic fantasies. Creating new characters for my readers to connect with, new worlds for them to immerse themselves in, and new ideas to wrap their minds around is an amazing if not humbling experience. I hope that all my readers can take something away from each of my books, and enjoy reading them just as much as I have enjoyed putting them in print. Semper Fidelis

The stories began as children’s picture books, evolved into chapter books, became lumped together in one huge novel, and were finally broken down into a series of novellas. Anita lives in upstate New York with her husband and three boys who don’t like princesses. She enjoys reading literary novels, creating graphic designs for her online shops, and painting piggy banks. This was a description provided to me by a friend, and it seems moderately appropriate. I am a wife to a Navy Chief, a mother of two wonderful children; My son age 13 and my daughter age 9. I live in the suburbs in SoCal... I even have two Golden Retrievers (my other children). I am a stay at home mom, a football mom, a swimming mom, a BUSY mom! I am a student, studying Complementary and Alternative Health, I love Yoga, and I am a gluten free vegan. I have black hair, black shirts and purple lipstick. And I love it! I started writing because I love reading, and I thought other people might like to read the stories I have playing on a constant loop in my head. My family thinks I am completely crazy, but they love me anyway. And really, who could ask for more than that??

- Her Fated Cowboy by Donna Michaels - 2013-03-29 03:43:24-04
It's all my mother's fault. She read to me before I could read and opened up that magical world where I still reside today. Then came television and movies. Now I had three avenues to feed my imagination...and boy could I eat! As you no doubt figured out, this lead to my writing career. After several starts in between having a son, twin sons then a daughter, I didn't get serious until my youngest child entered 1st grade. Now, I'm multi-published in e-Book and print with several publishers and a ton of voices in my head. I would love to hear from my readers, you can contact me at: donna_michaels@msn.com To keep up with my latest news and releases, please visit my website at: www.donnamichaelsauthor.com to sign up for my Newsletter.
