Having to research writing and the writing process gave her the confidence she needed to actually put proverbial pen to paper. Her first novel, THE GUARDIAN was partially published as a Twitter novel a few summers back. Nearly ten years after its inception Abram decided it was time to stop shopping around with traditional publication houses and try to publish PHASE SHIFT on her own.

All of these interests combine into a wealth of knowledge about all things finance and savings related. Using coupons was something Elle never considered, until she heard about people saving big time from using coupons. Just for the heck of it, she thought she would do an experiment to see if she could save money using coupons. Her first couple of shopping trips she failed miserably and ended up buying items she didn't particularily need and not saving that much. She became determined to master the art of couponing. After a month or so, she had the process down and became intent on not missing any great deals. She soon learned that the "not missing any deals" attitude can cost a lot of time and stress. Eventually, she realized that she had way to much stuff in her stockpile, when she started running out of friends and family to give it to. She hopes that Couponing For Busy People will smart shoppers discover techniques to maximize savings, while having a casual attitude towards the whole process. It is really best to organize in a way that allows couponing to enhance your life without it taking over.

Michael was born a few years back, ate some food, and eventually got bigger. Despite public school, he somehow became literate enough to write a complete sentence. His early years of having Monty Python as his best friend warped his mind in a wonderful way, and his love of utter silliness was born. If Python was the mother of Michael's silliness, then Dave Barry was it's wet nurse. Years of suckling at Barry's teat provided the nourishment needed for Michael to undergo the metamorphosis from "Michael is a fart-joke making wacko and why do I have to sit next to him?" to "Michael Did What?" Michael, who is weird*, currently lives in Levittown, New York, with his wife, Joanne, and his two stepsons. *Says Matt.

- Healthy Skin Secrets… Naturally by Helen Bairstow - 2012-10-23 10:04:40-04
At just 19 I opened my own beauty therapy business. You see ... way back in 1983 I became a skin and beauty therapist. Eventually owning three beauty businesses which gave me access to insider information ... but I didn't like what I saw. I started to question the manufacturers about the ingredients in the products I was recommending and selling. In the late eighties I discovered aromatherapy (when people didn't even know what the word meant!). While studying to become a clinical aromatherapist in London I began to see how natural ingredients were more effective AND less damaging to the skin. Using my skin as a laboratory I investigated how nutrition and natural therapies can make a positive difference to the health of your skin. As a result I became VERY disillusioned with the beauty industry. I could not live a lie any longer and in 1997 we sold-up and left the beauty industry behind. In 2001 I started a marketing company called Great Look Email Marketing and also began sharing my 'skin secrets' with my friends who wanted their skin to look like mine. So a book was written about what I had learned about the beauty industry rip-offs. My book "If You Want Great Skin, Throw Away Your Cosmetics" was published in 2004 but seems people were not yet ready to hear this information. They just loved their fancy jars of stuff too much - seriously. So I went on with life... My husband (and childhood sweetheart) 'thought' we could not have children but at the age of 40 I gave birth to a beautiful boy. Being a parent has you see how trivial some things are, things that we 'thought' were important really aren't at all. Being 'older' parents we thought we'd do some travelling while still young which had us travelleing for two and half years around Australia. Want to get closer to your family? Try living in a caravan! You know those moments in time that change your life? We had a MAJOR one in November 2010 when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. Luckily I was extremely healthy BEFORE I began the chemotherapy which made it easier for me to heal, possibly the reason I survived - I only had a 10% chance! (I'll write a book about 'that' journey one day.) In the meantime ... here I am, living in georgeous Cairns Australia, writing books about how to look after yourself naturally. It's my way of giving back.

- Mr. Hookumbacker and the Yella Yella Yum Yum Tree - 2012-10-23 10:05:29-04
My career as an author has slowly emerged during the time I have spent on the road touring Spain as a blues musician. I consider myself most fortunate to have a creative mind which enjoys the delicious avenues of storytelling. Many of the songs I perform on stage are self-penned stories delivered in my own unique style. Although I live in a cave house in Andalucia, when I go on tour I live in a motor home. It is between gigs that I have discovered a new outlet for my creativity in the world of fictional writing. Now that Mr. Hookumbacker and the Yella Yella Yum Yum Tree is published and laid down I am looking forward to exploring the new ideas that I am currently working on.

Everyone is entitled to eat tasty delicious food."
- ANTics by Dakota Douglas - 2012-10-23 10:09:50-04
I'm a retired newspaper reporter from the North East of England, following my childhood dream of being a novelist. As a kid I read books under the bedclothes by torchlight. Now I dive under the bedclothes, torch in hand, to scribble down conversations between my nutty book characters in case I forget them in the morning. I’ve written stories since I was about eight years old. I wrote them on a toy typewriter and my dad did the illustrations. All sadly lost down the decades. When I wasn’t pounding on my typewriter, I was smashing a tennis ball again the brick end of a block of garages beside my home. For hours on end I perfected my lob, backhand and forehand shots – all the time spinning stories in my head. I drafted my first novel about 10 years ago but had to give up because of pains in my hands and wrists – Repetitive Strain Injury. I retired last year and have just published my first novel, a children’s fantasy called ANTics, based on a dream about ants.

- Implicated by Peter Michael Rosenberg - 2012-10-23 10:14:46-04
I'm a novelist, screenwriter and nomad. So far, I've travelled in over seventy countries around the world but have yet to find one to call home. My latest novel, a thriller called "Implicated" is my first foray into indie publishing and I've enjoyed the experience so much that I'm now republishing my "back-list" as indie ebooks including the Betty Trask Award-winning "Kissing Through a Pane of Glass", the suspenseful "Touched by a God or Something", the chilling "Because It Makes My Heart Beat Faster" and the paranormal romance "Daniels Dream". I've also written the hallucinatory (and rather strange) "The Uncertainty Principle" (writing as Tyler Montreux) - I refer to it as my Kurt Vonnegut/Tom Robbins homage. A short story "The Fig Tree" is also available on Amazon and I have a new series of detective stories planned.

- The Chinese Banker by Dustin Hill - 2012-10-23 22:03:14-04
Dustin Hill is the author of The Chinese Banker (Purple Duck Press 2012), a novel of an America ravaged by a Chinese-induced financial crisis. Now that I've got that awkward, third-person introduction out of the way, I'm also a U.S.-based journalist who has covered personalities ranging from famed investor Warren Buffett to members of the Obama cabinet. In addition to my other journalistic duties for a Midwestern news organization, I also edit a financial news service that highlights U.S.-China relations. Please join the service for free simply by liking my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/TheChineseBanker. My reading list includes anything by Alan Furst. I think he captures the sense of a place as well as anyone in the business today. I contend that In Cold Blood by Truman Capote forever changed - for the better - how non-fiction should be written. Whenever I need inspiration for writing a piece of narrative journalism, I find an old Gay Talese article. Reading "Sinatra Has a Cold" changed me as a writer. I believe the book world is on the cusp of exciting change. Ebooks, on-demand printing and the Internet in general will open up a world of new opportunities for both authors and readers. I hope you are as excited about the future as I am.
- A Lament of Moonlight - 2012-10-23 22:57:05-04
I have been writing since I was 14. I began writing a book called "The Calling of the Two" and while writing that on and off I started uncovering another idea. "Yes, this is all well and good, but what about before? What happened in the world before these characters came into it?" I always knew there was a "before" and as I started wondering about it I got ideas. At first they were little ideas but as I discovered the names for my characters a whole story about them emerged. I started working on The Revenant Wyrd Saga several years back and I am very happy I did because hearing and documenting Jovian and Angelica's story has been one wild ride. I live in a remote part of upstate New York and honestly just hoofing around my neck of the woods gives me a ton of inspiration for my novels. I love research, and I love speculating on different ideas and theories.

Gilli did not go to Oxford or Cambridge, but instead chose Croydon College of Art. She did not work on any of the broadsheets or in television, but has done a variety of jobs - shop assistant, beauty consultant, bar-maid and picking up American tourists in London in order to sell them real estate in Florida. She worked longest and most happily as a commercial artist. Gilli started writing again when her son started playgroup. She had two novels “mainstream” published, before she went independent. She has been a school governor, a contributor to local newspapers, and a driving force behind the establishment of a community shop in her village. Still a keen artist, Gilli regularly attends a life-class near her home in Gloucestershire, where she lives with her husband, Geoff, and son, Tom.
- CB Slanguage Language Dictionary – The Official (Including Cross Reference) - 2012-10-23 23:45:45-04
A number of years ago, I wrote the #1 CB Jargon book, or rather I should say I compiled the book from listening to the truckers and other Citizens Band Radio users that were on the road at that time. CB talk is a very colorful slang and, it was raging across the country. Today it is still used by over a million truckers, but it is not the overwhelming phenomenon that it was in the late 1970s. I continue to write books in a variety of genres and reside in the foothills of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
