I have always enjoyed books, starting off as an illustrator for picture books. At the same time, I was writing poems for children and have now turned these scribblings into 3 e-books on the Kindle site; ‘Just Kidding’, ‘My Auntie Jane’s a Pirate’ and ‘Funny Poems and Rhymes’. There is also a wordless comic e-book called ‘Comic Comics’ and a humorous illustrated e-book on the eccentricities of the English language entitled ‘Idioms and Phrases.’ I still work as an illustrator from my home on the Dorset coast of England.

Rossignol sold St. Mary's Today in 2010 and since has been continuing to write novels and maritime history. He enjoys traveling with his wife Donna and giving seminars on the Titanic and other maritime topics to audiences around the world on cruise ships. A series of cruise thrillers takes a couple recently retired from law enforcement who are hired to provide security on a cruise ship. The Marsha and Danny Jones thrillers find adventure from Rome to the Caribbean with the Sea Empress even making a surprise visit to Cuba. The Chesapeake series, co-authored with Larry Jarboe, brings forward some of the best short stories that have appeared over the years. The fun, fishing and nonsense is timeless. The Story of The Rag! explains the long history of the St. Mary's Today newspaper and the landmark First Amendment decision won by the newspaper after a sheriff, states attorney and a posse of deputies cleaned out newsstands before voters could read critical articles on election day. Crime, political corruption and mayhem in Southern Maryland are generously described. All of these books are available in Kindle and paperback at Amazon. 10. Splintered Energy by Arlene Webb - 2012-09-29 19:49:56-04
Sci-fi, paranormal, thriller-mystery, indefinable, I’m an author who adds sweet and spicy layers of romance to any genre. I was born in upstate New York, land of cows, snow, drizzle and sometimes a ray of sun. Second oldest with four siblings, I spent my childhood reading everything I could get my hands on. Adolescence found me questioning the validity of everything I read, along with acquiring the usual scars of high school. Early twenties, I headed for the Pacific. A stop off to visit a friend in the desert turned into years in Tucson, Arizona. I worked as a waitress, bartender, greenhouse worker, greyhound trainer, while swapping a psych major for one in plant sciences at the University of Arizona. Fired for skipping employee meetings at restaurants, employee gambling at the dogtrack, refusing to use live rabbits as bait, it fell to planting cacti and bartending to pay my way through college. My late twenties found me running family owned greenhouses and florist shops in New York. When the reality of retail life became too mundane to handle, I began an obsessive love of creating more interesting worlds.

  14. Amateur Night: A World War II Historical Adventure - 2012-09-29 23:25:15-04
A resident of south-eastern Pennsylvania, C.P. McKechney can claim descent from a long line of Scots mercenaries, highwaymen, horse-thieves, pirates, and smugglers, with a few English political radicals and Irish brigands thrown in for good measure, some of these antecedents the holders of noble title within their own respective lands. The graduate of an accredited northeastern American college, the author has maintained a somewhat unorthodox professional career encompassing a wide variety of occupations, even if a keen interest in fiction writing has been preeminent throughout those academic and employment endeavors. But it has proven largely the result of his avocation as a long-term history and aviation enthusiast (in addition to associations with various nameless individuals) that certain factual treasure-troves have periodically surfaced alluding to obscure enemy clandestine operations intended for implementation in the Western Hemisphere during World War Two, that information thus derived providing basis for the creation of his original literary material. The rest might best be described as... covert...

  17. Kinesis by Ethan Spier - 2012-09-29 23:28:12-04
Ethan Spier was born in the middle of England in 1980. He grew up listening to music by The Beatles and reading books by Roald Dahl. While always having an interest in writing stories, it wasn't until he was twelve and started reading books by Stephen King that he began writing short horror and science fiction stories. Ethan continued to intermittently write short stories through his teenage years, but then his other passion, music, took over. After playing guitar in a number of bands during his early twenties, Ethan decided to try his hand at writing once again. At the age of 28, he began a science fiction novel about a mysterious object which falls from space and then inexplicably prevents Earth from being able to support life. After 20,000 words, Ethan decided it was pretty much rubbish and abandoned it. When he was 30, inspiration struck Ethan again, but this time he was determined to make his new idea work. The resulting novel was Kinesis which was published on Amazon Kindle in January, 2012. Kinesis has been downloaded thousands of times and has been extremely well received. Ethan is currently working on a new standalone novel called 'Kaleidoscope', while also having started initial planning for a follow up to Kinesis.
