Captivated by the eerie and a lover of things that go bump-in-the-night, Dan thoroughly enjoys embracing the fear that resides within. A scary story or movie is always at the top of his list. Mace of the Apocalypse is his first complete novel which delves into the darkness within all of us. It is meant to shock and repulse at times, but also question who we really are or could become in an atmosphere of pure insanity. There is also a spiritual side to the story, because inside each of us is a struggle to come to terms with the true meaning of our existence. Value of Jade, the continuation of the story, is now available through Amazon.com.

"In this age of revolution, the contemporary writer should utilize the pen for the preservation of peace," Norbert L. Mercado, a Filipino author, stressed. His books present hope to the Filipinos, especially to the "economic exiles" in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan whom he has spent most time with, in their daily struggles. But most of all, his novels lucidly show the futility of war and violence in the resolution of political-economic-class conflicts in the Philippines.

  10. Vampyric Requiem - 2012-09-23 19:29:09-04
Hi everyone I have always enjoyed the idea of fantasy worlds, where unlimited possibilities collide with human strengths and frailties; where anything can happen as much by the determination of those who live there, as by a spark of magic. From those early days of reading Lord of the Rings before it became Hollywood blockbusters, and taking part in play-by-mail gaming before email, I have never looked back. When not reading, writing or indulging in photography, I am employed to help people reach their full potential in the real world - where stories of determination and courage are just as prevalent and touching as in any fantasy landscape. If you have any questions about this series, I'd love to hear from you. All the best, Lee

  13. Tainted Chains - 2012-09-23 19:34:40-04
“Tainted Chains” is Jess Lawren’s first entry into the fantasy sci-fi genre. Jess actually started as a counselor for young pre-teen students before writing web content articles and books for clients all over the world. Jess realized just how game-changing the Internet had become after ghost-writing for about three years. It allowed aspiring writers to publish their works by filling out forms and working over the ‘net – something the authors of old never had, even when they conceived the idea long before the Internet became mainstream. And thus “Tainted Chains” was born, with Jess attributing inspiration from other great fantasy and sci-fi authors like Orson Scott Card (The Ender’s Game Series) and Frank Herbert, (Dune). Jess was further inspired by Japanese works over a wide platform of media, including Kaoru Kurimoto’s “Guin Saga” and Nahoko Uehashi’s “Moribito: Guardian of the Sacred Spirit.” But at the end of it all is an author trying to bring something new to the often tired and stale genres of fantasy and sci-fi. Thus Jess strives to present stories ground firmly on the unique situations people can find themselves in while creating wonderful and fantastic settings to blow the mind away.

She writes stories that draw the reader in and allow them to realize why they relate to the characters and how they too can make a change in their lives for the better. Writing is very much a cathartic experience for Mary. Through her vast knowledge of mind and body connections, she is able to give the help that many so desperately need in such a way that they can truly understand and then put into action. Mary Henderson has a heart for her readers and knows the struggles that they face because she once faced them as well. In learning the process of EFT and Chakra cleansing, Mary is now free to share her wisdom with others who are still stuck in a life that they are not happy with.
