Life and Death at Windover: Excavations of a 7,000-Year-Old Pond Cemetery

About Life and Death at Windover: Excavations of a 7,000-Year-Old Pond Cemetery

In 1982, a backhoe operator demucking a small pond at the new Windover Farms housing development in Titusville, Florida, uncovered a human skull. The bones of several other individuals soon emerged from the pond’s base and researchers would be astounded to learn that the burials were constructed over 7,000 years ago. The pond held the remains of over 168 well-preserved skeletons, along with hand woven textiles, beautifully constructed artifacts, and ancient soft tissue. The discovery of Windover Pond was just the beginning of an archaeological adventure that continues to this day.

Echoes Before Dawn By Michael Sean

About Echoes Before Dawn By Michael Sean

**Free ebook from April 9 – April 13, 2021**
Strangers to one another, Liam and Talia wash up on the shore of a peculiar tropical island. Stricken with amnesia they search for evidence of why they are there. With no wreckage to sift through they are forced to turn to what little memories they have. Dehydration, hunger, and exposure to the island’s harsh conditions erode their chances at learning the truth and surviving. As memories echo through the fog of forgetfulness they begin to develop a plan for survival. Everything violently changes when the truths they know dissolve into uncertainty. Fighting for their life and not knowing why, these strangers draw closer and find familiarity. Echoes bounce from the wall of their consciousness, before dawn, revealing that which they believed to be strange was familiar after all. Echoes Before Dawn is a subtly psychological tale of survival that becomes unapologetically violent. Layers of mystery are peeled back to reveal more questions than answers. The truth echoes in the ever deceiving fog of reality.

Author Bio:
Michael Sean is a new and enthusiastic American author in the genres of sci-fi and fantasy. He published his first novella, Echoes Before Dawn, in October of 2020. Echoes Before Dawn is the first installment in the novella series, Iterum. Michael is an efficient writer and storyteller with a few ready-to publish works waiting their turns to enter the editing process, and several other works in progress.

At university, Michael studied psychology and human behavior, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Michael has worked extensively with the psychologically afflicted in various settings. As a result, Michael’s writing contains real, psychological undertones. No matter the topic, Michael demonstrates a propensity for writing psychological thrillers.

From a young age, Michael loved the art of story telling and turning words into something beautiful. Before he could write, he would tell stories to anyone who would listen. When Michael was in the third grade, he won his first-class fiction writing contest, and went on to win several school level writing contests in later years.

When Michael was in high school, he was assigned with rewriting a scene from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter. Michael chose to write a first-person scene from Hester’s husband’s point of view. When read aloud, Michael’s assignment made a girl in class weep. Michael decided he had found his writing style and started writing in his spare time.

Michael lives in the rural south-eastern United States with his wife and twin daughters. Michael writes nocturnally, spending several overnight hours per week honing his craft. Michael has written most of his life and decided in 2020 to start publishing his work and building his career as an author.
